Ontario BScN Accelerated Program Fall 2022

World Canada CA Programs

Updated:   Published

Hello future nursing students,

I just wanted to make a post as we enter the new academic year, and more importantly the next admission cycle. Hopefully through this post we can all share our admission experiences, concerns, and achievements.

To begin with, I am currently a University of Toronto student completing my final year! I am hoping to apply to UBC, UofT, Nipissing, Western, and Trent. Just waiting on applications to open up! I am slightly worried I may not get in because admission is so competitive, and seeing those with 3.9+ not get in can be very scary.

How about you? Are you excited for the new school year? Any concerns for the admission process? Let's get through this together

Do we get our Casper percentile results right after we submit the test? Does anyone know when we can see the percentile score?

we probably get them 3 weeks after the final casper date. That way they have everyone marked.

Hey everyone!

Just had a quick question regarding McMaster's accelerated program. Anyone else have "required" next to all of the requirements on the application status page? I'm not sure if I'm missing something. I uploaded my transcripts back in November, and they have been marked as received by all the other programs I applied to, and same with Casper. Anyone know if this is just how mcmaster says they've received it?

Thanks in advance :)

Its not too late! I applied for some scholarships through the UofT application. They’re due February 8th. I was just genuine in my passions and tried to connect my past experiences and hopeful future positions and used that to explain why I am deserving of a scholarship. As for my supplementary I wrote a draft and then sent it to a couple people to edit. I then re wrote the draft based on a combination of everyone else’s opinions and my own. It took me about 5 days until I was happy with it.

So for those awards/scholarship, you essentially just write some text about why you are a great candidate and what interests you have?

Yes. It gives a little prompt of instructions once you get started

I wrote it on Jan 13th and they emailed me after saying it would be about a month for us to receive the percentile and 2-3 weeks for the schools to receive your results.  The percentile is only for people who wrote it the same day as you.

The other day, It showed that my results were delivered to the schools (yet McMaster and SPP has not updated saying they received them yet).

That is strange, maybe email or call them.

It shows received for all of mine except for the supplementary application.

Edit:

wait sorry mine says accepted or awaiting. there is an updated link in an email they sent out which shows the application checklist and says whether it is accepted or awaiting.

Hey everyone

I was wondering if there was a word limit on for the leadership and involvement section for uoft supp application part

Hey I don't believe there was a word limit for that part! Wasn't an issue for me.

Just finding out about this thread after being on the other one (Second Entry Nursing 2022) for quite some time ? I'm a fourth-year student at UTM studying bio, psych, and business. I applied to UofT, York and Mac and I wrote my Casper Jan. 13th. I just submitted my supplementary for UofT yesterday and honestly just eager to get my Casper results in a couple weeks. Going to try to forget about this for a while since we won't be hearing back until May/June. Good luck to everyone! Sending good vibes ❤️

Hey Guys,

I just finished writing the Casper test. Was I the only one who had a few questions on the bottom of each page where I ran out of time to complete the last word or the final few words of the sentence? ?

It was definitely a unique test in the sense that you can't really study for it and the situations you are presented with are real-life situations!

I'm glad I am done with that. Now I just have to wait.

Just finished writing it too! It was interesting and really keeps you on your toes.

I was definitely stronger on some pages more than others, but I think if you ultimately tried your hardest and tried to touch on most of the questions and type in something that you should be OK. ?  I don't know how they assess these tests. I think this is the first year that we'll receive our results back.

Glad it's behind us. ?
