I just wanted to make a post as we enter the new academic year, and more importantly the next admission cycle. Hopefully through this post we can all share our admission experiences, concerns, and achievements.
To begin with, I am currently a University of Toronto student completing my final year! I am hoping to apply to UBC, UofT, Nipissing, Western, and Trent. Just waiting on applications to open up! I am slightly worried I may not get in because admission is so competitive, and seeing those with 3.9+ not get in can be very scary.
How about you? Are you excited for the new school year? Any concerns for the admission process? Let's get through this together
Hey guys, I still never received any news from UofT or Mac. I am getting worried. I have a GPA of 3.8 from last 5.0 credits, and have many work and volunteer experiences. Do I have a chance of getting in?

Haven't heard back from Mac either, 3.94 sub-GPA and 4th quartile CASPer but decided on and accepted my offer at UofT.
Very good, well done. I don't know how they accept people. Do they only accept people with 4th quartile and 3.9+ GPA?
I was told by admissions that the order of acceptances are pretty random. I too have a 3.9 GPA with 4th quartile and I haven’t heard back from Mac yet. Don’t feel discouraged

I had a 3.9 and 3rd quartile and got accepted but if I'm not mistaken the school gets your actual score... so you can be 3rd with a 70% and 4th with a 79.. so who knows
How do you know if you got accepted to UofT or Mac? Do they send out an email?

Log into your student/application centre, they would have provided the links in emails to you when you applied. You might get an email at some point if you get accepted as well.
Has anyone heard back from western? Other schools seem to be handing out a lot, but I haven’t seen many uwo responses. Does anyone know when they hand theirs out?

I got into both Mac and UofT. My casper was 4th quartile and my GPA is around a 3.9
