Hi all,
I am a working RN with an ADN degree. My ADN program only required pre-algebra and no upper level math courses.
I am looking for an online RN-BSN that has no math requirement as a pre-req. I have all of my gen eds required for most BSN programs with the exception of mathematics, and I'm not eager to take a math class because, well, I pretty much suck at math. and I just don't want to take the time to complete a math class at my local junior college. I'm OK with taking a nursing related stats class as part of the curriculum.
Not even sure such a beast exists because I've been looking for a long time, and I have searched the archives many many times and really found nothing. I thought I would post this just in case I missed something. Thanks!
I did not need to take algebra prior to being enrolled in WGU's probability and statistics course. Many online RN-to-BSN programs have dropped the algebra requirement as it serves more of a gatekeeper function than any other college class in existence. You'll need algebra to take the stats class. At least in my school you did even though the stats was labeled as a psych course
so its been awhile since anyone posted im wondering if there are any updates. I have all but the last 3 classes from UTA and stats is keeping me from taking research then capstone. I chose UTA because they didn't require intro chemistry but I did stats twice online with no luck. I get so far and then im lost. Area there any programs that have a very simple no math stats or a very simple intro chem. I still want my BSN but stats is such a biggggg headache
I know this thread is probably dead but I need updates. Did any of these schools require Statistics 1040? That class is literally going to keep me from my BSN if I am forced to take it.
Excelsior's Stats for healthcare professionals was fairly easy, I got an A. It was online but not difficult.

Seems like this would affect a students opportunity to continue for a MSN like Nurse Practitioner.
