Online RN-BSN with no math?

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

Hi all,

I am a working RN with an ADN degree. My ADN program only required pre-algebra and no upper level math courses.

I am looking for an online RN-BSN that has no math requirement as a pre-req. I have all of my gen eds required for most BSN programs with the exception of mathematics, and I'm not eager to take a math class because, well, I pretty much suck at math. and I just don't want to take the time to complete a math class at my local junior college. I'm OK with taking a nursing related stats class as part of the curriculum.

Not even sure such a beast exists because I've been looking for a long time, and I have searched the archives many many times and really found nothing. I thought I would post this just in case I missed something. Thanks!

Thank you both so much. I'm better at science than I ever will be at math.

What school did you do your adn with?

Same here. I took stats twice and just couldnt get it when the test came around

I just found this thread in a search for online RN-BSN programs and I wanted to thank everyone who commented all those years that the thread originally took place. The information you all provided me was more than any of my own research had come up with. I appreciated all the hints and school programs listed. Nearly all of the hospitals in in my city require a BSN now due to their magnet status. The hospitals that state they do not are not hiring ADN's. Having traveled for years, coming back home to this reality has been daunting. I have been searching for a school with minimal mathematics and no Chemistry requirement. Not that I wouldn't have suffered through those courses, I just want to focus on moving forward and not enduring the frustration. I made "A's" in the courses that I feel have helped me in my healthcare practice. Thanks again!
