Hi all! I wanted to start this thread to see who has applied or will apply to the LVN program at PCC for fall of 2018. I already submitted my application and if anyone has tried in the past or is already in the program please feel free to offer advice! Thank you! GOOD LUCK!

HI! I applied too. I'd like to wait it out with you. I dont really know much about the process or all that, since not many people talk about it.

Did you have all your prereqs completed and CNA, the secretary told me that a lot of people get weeded out fast because that are missing something.

I also heard that they only take about 25 people and there is usually about 70 that apply. But I dont know if any of that is true.

Do you know when we find out by?

Hey! Finally someone to talk with!

Yes I have all my prereqs as well as my CNA certification. I hope we find out as soon as possible. It's so hard to wait. Do you know how competitive this program gets?

I know right!? It sucks that not a lot of people get on the forum so we can all talk. Im not sure how competitive it gets. I heard that everyone usually gets in if they have everything completed but then I heard that only 25 get in and I think more that 25 apply. And that it gets nowhere near as competitive at the RN program.

I hope we find out soon too. I mean I know we have to find out the latest by june because we have to register and do background checks and all of that and that takes some time so I hoping next month we will find out!!

Im nervous!!!! The waiting game sucks! lol!

Hello you guys, I've applied for the LVN program as well and am waiting to hear back from them too! I have all pre reqs finished but am in the process of obtaining my CNA cert and will have that by June 13th. The representative that I spoke with at the school when I turned my application in told me that once I get my CNA cert, to just come back to the school and they will update my application. So fingers crossed and I'll be waiting too, the suspense is killing me lol. She also told me that the LVN program's admissions isn't as competitive as their RN program so we shall see!

I turned in CNA cert last week so I hope they still consider me. I asked the lady that helped me when I should expect a rejection or acceptance letter and she said to start checking my email in MAY!! Just check it weekly and check my spam as well. I really do hope we find out in May. I also asked if a lot of people applied and she said it was about 50 applicants but they only take 20!! but she also told me that some people don't have everything completed by the time they need it so that's one way of eliminating people.

Im so nervous I wish everyone could just get in. LOL!

I haven't started studying for the Teas yet, I just order some books that were recommended to me. And I heard theres an LVN TEAS, is that the same thing as the one to get into the RN program?

What books did you order? I need to order some as well! Yeah so for the lvn program we take the TEAS without science so it's just math and English. It's not the same one as the RN Program.

OH I see!! I got books for the RN TEAS. I didn't really know the what the Lvn teas consisted of. shoot.

The books I got were the ATI TEAS VI study guide and teas v secrets study guide mometrix its a yellow book, but again is for the RN one.

When do we have to take the LVN TEAS by? Is that through the school like if we get accepted or do we have to do it on our own?
