CSULA BSN Program Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Hey! I wanted to start a forum for CSULA fall 2018. I have been looking everywhere for one! Anyways, just wanted to talk to others about their apps and such. This is kind of a nerve wracking experience, and I wanted to compare points/progress on the application. I tallied my points and I have 25. I hope it gets me in. Fingers crossed. I have also applied to a bunch of other schools, but CSULA is the dream :)

I just submitted my application as well! Best of luck to everyone!

Good luck to you as well :) Did you ever hear back about how AP scores should be recorded?

So I just called NursingCas and asked them about transcripts. They said they'll still update your transcript info if you have grades on hold / if you expedited your transcript to arrive before the due date. However, it's up to CSULA to decide whether or not to accept your application :(

Hi :) I can confirm with Perla17 that your transcripts should be sent to NursingCAS! I even emailed CSULA's school of nursing and was told only to send it to NursingCAS.

Were your transcripts received / updated onto the NursingCas website yet?

They were, but I sent my transcripts around December 19 I believe.

What scores are we supposed to enter for the TEAS? the application asks for individual adjusted scores but CSULA uses the national percentile ranking. Any one know?

I don't think I understand your question :/ Under "Standardized Tests" you can fill in your scores for each section. The Program Materials page also prompts you to upload your TEAS scores under the Documents tab, to "Test Score Report"

Also does anyone know if transcripts should be processed by the 12th of January or they just need to receive them by the deadline? I'm worried since my transcripts are not showing on NursingCAS yet

I just got in contact with one of the nursing coordinators at CSULA via email and she said that the transcripts must be processed by NursingCas by January 12th. :( Pretty bummed out, my application is most likely going to be disqualified unless they're feeling generous

I'm very sorry to hear that. My chances are very slim too because my transcripts were mailed with rush mail on the 3nd of January (and my school doesn't send transcripts online). I got grades only around Christmas and everything was closed for holidays. It really sucks.

Hey Annie,

Annoyingly enough I completed my application during Thanksgiving break but did not request transcripts to be sent until Christmas break when I reviewed my application. Now I am just waiting for NursingCAS to have my transcripts before I have a heart attack!!!!! Both of my schools sent the transcripts last week so I am hoping that they update the status of my transcripts by tomorrow morning so I could submit it with ease-ish.

All of my transcripts have already been sent to NursingCas via electronically. So they have it already it just takes them 7-10 days to process and update the status onto NursingCas :/

I would recommend you just submitting your application w/o the transcripts. Since they can update the status of the transcripts at anytime.

Ahhhh how frustrating! NursingCAS was able to update 2/3 of my transcripts today! However the last one won't be sent into them until today and I think their offices close pretty soon í ½í¸ª
