CSULA BSN Program Fall 2018

Published

Hey! I wanted to start a forum for CSULA fall 2018. I have been looking everywhere for one! Anyways, just wanted to talk to others about their apps and such. This is kind of a nerve wracking experience, and I wanted to compare points/progress on the application. I tallied my points and I have 25. I hope it gets me in. Fingers crossed. I have also applied to a bunch of other schools, but CSULA is the dream :)

Annie, Luckily I checked nursingcas today and they recieved my transcripts so I was able to submit with them there! Definitely not doing this to myself again LOL

I went to three community colleges to finish my prerequisites so I had to request three different transcripts :( One of them is being sent literally today electronically so keeping my fingers crossed that NursingCas can process them in time. LOL and me either I did myself a favor and pre-ordered my transcripts for my other applications. This was such a stressful experience

Ahhh, how annoying. The last college that I needed transcripts from sent it out at 2PM today when NursingCal processed my other two transcripts at 12PM,

if only they've sent it earlier. I did make a call to my school's registar and they said the postmark on the transcript will have the exact time / date that the transcript was sent to NursingCas, and since they sent it before the 9PM due date hopefully CSULA will accept it. Keeping my fingers crossed :(

Do you guys know how to compute the TEAS points? Is it 5 points if you make it 90+ on national (the red bars) or is it 5 points if you make it 90+ on the individual reading and English scores?

I was wondering the exact same thing. Is it the red bars (you see them when you press view results report on the top) or is it the individual scores? Like wat.

Has anyone also brought the professional transcript entry? Is it okay if I submitted my transcript and they received it before the 12th, but they didn't enter the info yet?

Hi eluelane,

They base it only on reading and english national percentile ranks. So, if you get 90+ points on each, you'll be getting 5 points each.

Ohh. So if my individual score is 83 then itd be 4 points? Cause i thought it was based on percentile. Cause for percentile its 90 but for individual its 83.

No, they base it on national percentile ranks for each individual subject. so for example for your english you got an individual score of 83 and got a percentile rank of 90, you'll get 5 points. if you get individual score of 82 and percentile rank of 82 on reading, thats 4 points. There are seperate percentile ranks each test section.

oh yayy. Thanks so much. :) Do you know if the nursing cas professional entry transcript has to be completed by the 12th, or if the transcript just has to be received by the 12th?

As far as i know, the transcript should have been completely processed and verified by the 12th, but i could be wrong.

Just processed? What about being "verified"?
