CSULA BSN Program Fall 2018

Published

Hey! I wanted to start a forum for CSULA fall 2018. I have been looking everywhere for one! Anyways, just wanted to talk to others about their apps and such. This is kind of a nerve wracking experience, and I wanted to compare points/progress on the application. I tallied my points and I have 25. I hope it gets me in. Fingers crossed. I have also applied to a bunch of other schools, but CSULA is the dream :)

Yes i believe it should be verified too. You can always cal the admissions to confirm.

Hi eluelane,

They base it only on reading and english national percentile ranks. So, if you get 90+ points on each, you'll be getting 5 points each.

Hi :) do you have a source for this? I had no idea they use percentile ranks but that's awesome!

Hi,

This is the link where they stated it's based on percentile ranks. usually percentile ranks is higher than individual score, so yes it's better! Did your total points changed ?

Hi all, so I emailed and called one of the application people from CSULA and she said that as long as the transcripts were delivered to nursingcas before the 12th you should be fine. NursingCas will verify it later (depending if you brought the professional transcript thing...which i did. ragrets).

Oh my gosh that totally went over my head! I think if I'm doing it correctly:

Prereq GPA: 3.9 = 10 pts

Cumulative GPA: 3.9 = 5 pts

TEAS Reading: 91% = 5 pts

TEAS English: 90% = 5 pts

Volunteer experience: >100 hrs = 2 pts

27 points?

Because last time I calculated my points, I went off the scores for each section (Reading 87.2 and English 87.5, so I gave myself 4 points each). Guess I didn't read that carefully lol thank you so much!

wow congrats! those points are more than enough to get you in. Do anyone know the exact date they'll be releasing the acceptance letters?

if you get yours, let us know right away! you'll be my basis if i get an acceptance letter or not LOL í ½í¸

Monica Ling (nursing advisor at Csula) told me that it's the percentile score, so the red bars!

Hahaha okay! Hopefully there were no errors in my application!

Interesting! I hope that's the case because my last transcript was sent to NursingCas with a postmark date of January 12 before the due date time of 9PM. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
