CSULA BSN Program Fall 2018

Published

Hey! I wanted to start a forum for CSULA fall 2018. I have been looking everywhere for one! Anyways, just wanted to talk to others about their apps and such. This is kind of a nerve wracking experience, and I wanted to compare points/progress on the application. I tallied my points and I have 25. I hope it gets me in. Fingers crossed. I have also applied to a bunch of other schools, but CSULA is the dream :)

Hi,

This is the link where they stated it's based on percentile ranks. usually percentile ranks is higher than individual score, so yes it's better! Did your total points changed ?

Oh that raises my score by one point!

Prereq GPA: 4.0 = 10 pts

Cumulative GPA: 3.84 = 5 pts

TEAS Reading: 91% = 5 pts

TEAS English: 79% = 3 pts

Volunteer experience: >100 hrs = 2 pts

Total: 25 points

Actually I'm not sure anymore...the person I asked (Yvette Richard) said it's fine as long as transcripts were received on the 12th but I'm having second thoughts because on the nursing info thing it says it recognizes the verified date as the date. So I emailed Monica Ling just now, hoping she will clear things up. Hopefully what Yvette said is true.

It's kind of confusing since when I emailed Florita she said that the transcripts must be processed by NursingCAS (show up as "received") by January 12th, if that's what you mean by it must be verified. It seems like everyone else is saying something different though so it's quite confusing :(

oh...if it's received then i think you're fine. does your transcript say it's received?

what are the statuses of your guy's apps? Mine says received in green and transcripts arrived. Some people have completed in green and arrived in red. And I think the best case scenario is verified in green and arrived in red.

Prereq GPA: 3.97 = 10 pts

Cumulative GPA: 3.95 = 5 pts

TEAS Reading: 85% = 4 pts

TEAS English: 79% = 3 pts

Volunteer experience: >100 hrs = 2 pts

Total: 24 points

For mine the application says verified in green and transcripts are arrived in red

Hiiii, what nursing info thing are you talking about? I just checked on nursingcas and it says that all documents must have been received by January 12th, but it doesn't mention anything about being verified?

Hi friends, just finished updating my final touches on the Calstate Apply app (since I've been getting so many email reminders). I've tallied my score up to 27 points. Now all there's left to do is wait.

Oh my gosh that totally went over my head! I think if I'm doing it correctly:

Prereq GPA: 3.9 = 10 pts

Cumulative GPA: 3.9 = 5 pts

TEAS Reading: 91% = 5 pts

TEAS English: 90% = 5 pts

Volunteer experience: >100 hrs = 2 pts

27 points?

Because last time I calculated my points, I went off the scores for each section (Reading 87.2 and English 87.5, so I gave myself 4 points each). Guess I didn't read that carefully lol thank you so much!

94 percentile for English* I keep missing little things lol! Good luck everyone!!!

So I've gotten a few emails to update my cal state apply or my application will be withdrawn. I do not have anything to update, so I just clicked the button that said update changes without doing much. Will that be acceptable?

I believe if everything is up to date (Fall 2017 grades are in and Spring 2018 classes are listed as in progress) then it's okay. I didn't have anything to update on mine either!
