Hi everyone. I am beginning nursing school in August and I just found out today that all of our courses are online. The only face to face contact being clinicals and labs. I am worried about this because I learn best when I can interact with the lecturer, etc.
Do any of you guys have your classes set up like this at your schools?

This is the first I've heard of this. Sounds like it could have disadvantages as well as advantages, same as any online class.

That's basically how our program was.
It worked for most of us. Some people couldn't handle the responsibility, though.
The NCLEX pass rate is 100% and most of us feel pretty well prepared.
In order to be successful, you need to be very organized, self-motivated, have good time-management and study skills, and be a good book-learner.
If you require personal instruction then you may find this program not to your liking.

My program offers you an onsite option, which is the traditional route, or a hybrid option which sounds more like what you are talking about. I am hoping to get a spot in the hybrid program because I am better at learning on my own. I also have read crazy things on here about the other nursing students and I think that would drive me nuts. I would rather study at home then meet on campus for labs and clinicals at the hospitals. Plus I have heard the instructors for lecture pretty much just read from power points. I can do that on my own!
Excellent point, RADIATIONRN!
