I read in another thread that a few people think it's a good idea to take the "easy" pre req's online. I am just curious to see what people say are the "easy" pre req's. I know to each their own and everyone is different just looking for opinions.
Thanks

I would say that non-science/math classes are considered to be easy classes. I took Developmental Psychology thru distance education (before online were popular).
I'm currently taking A&P1 and Statistics online. If you have the option to take traditional classes then that's what I would recommend. But if you are like me (work fulltime, 3 children, 1 cat, and a husband) then online classes may be your only option. You do what you have to do.
Unless I completely bomb the rest of my tests, I will have a B in both of my classes. It is possible but I've had no life this summer. I also sent my daughters to my parents for the summer so I only had 1 child to deal with while taking these classes. So hard classes are doable but I wouldn't take 2 hard classes online at the same time.

I took the majority of my pre-reqs online, but made a point to take math on campus. I wish I had taken Physiology on campus because I struggled with it online. The teacher was exceptionally challenging and the set-up was very poor though.
I think Psychology, Sociology, Humanities, English...all those can be taken online with no problems.

I've taken or will take all science classes on campus: OChem, Bio, Physio, Micro & Anatomy. The rest I've taken online: Sociology, Psychology, and Child Development.

This would be my recommendation also. I am taking my algerbra thru a telecourse. It's pretty easy. Personally, I don't think I could do any of the sciences online.

Each person has their own definition of "easy". It depends on what type of learner you are and what your strengths are.
I have taken many classes online and about the only ones I really struggled with were the social science classes. But I admit I find those a little boring and hard to pay attention to so who knows if taking them on campus would have helped any. I took them online because the scheduled times at the campus were not conveniant for me.
Also, I have had "easy" classes that were hard to keep up because of the workload. Most of my online classes did not have the extra workload that everyone keeps saying is typical of online classes but this one specific instructor just gave A LOT of homework that required time. It was rather aggravating.

I just took an online Nutrition class this summer and it was super easy to get an A.

I think the most important thing with online classes is determined by the dedication a person has. I've taken Human Anatomy II, Inorganic Chem, made an A and B. and I've taken several other courses online. I've done horrible in some and a whole lot better in others. Also, if there aren't in deadlines given to have the required material turned in it gives a person the initiative to want to wait until the end of the semester to try and get everything in. And this is possibly the worst choice I've made while taking a couple online courses scheduled that way.

I was wondering how online classes are structured? I am taking anthropology and developmental psych-child online in the fall with my first nursing class. Do you have to sign in so many times? Is it just reading the text and taking tests? Are they online and open book? I just have no clue what to expect....any help?
thanks!!!

I've only taken a telecourse so far, my first online class will be this fall. However, I'd say it's probably different depending on what school you take it thru and who teaches it. Some of the courses (that are thru cc's for example) make you take your tests at a distance learning center of some type. YOu have to show them an id to prove you are actually the person signed up for the class. I don't really know much else though.

I have about 64 hours and taken half of them online. I love online classes. They are easier for me and they saved me gas money.

For me, the easier classes are cut and dry classes like math and others. I just got done with my psychology class online and will probably end up with an "A" but that's after I submitted extra credit. Because of the type of learner I am, it was extremely hard to pick and choose which information was most important and what wasn't. For me, I basically had to read the chapter, post and respond to discussions, I had open book quizzes, and proctored tests.
I will be taking concepts in mathematics in the fall online, but math is easy for me. It all just depends!
