Online Accelerated BSN - options

I'm looking for an a-BSN program that is 100% online but require clinical in your hometown. So far I've only found one program that's truly 100% online (University of Wisconsin at Oshgosh) and they don't have an agreement with the state that I live in. Are there any other programs that I haven't found? I'm willing to travel to a school a few times for the required weekend immersions, that's not a problem, but I'm having trouble finding a program that's all online.

RN to BSN online? Sure.

100% online prelicensure BSN? I sincerely hope California isnt the only state not certifying or allowing that. That sounds like the dumbest idea ever.

Edit: Nope it now appears there are multiple schools doing this including Emory. :wtf:

I'm looking to become an RN. We live in Southern CA and are NOT planning to move for the next 15-20 years. I have an undergraduate degree AND a masters already (both not in a science-related field). Eventually I want to pursue an F-NP degree but feel it's probably best to get an RN first and then maybe the hospital will cover my NP degree (or at least part of it) Is it better to get an ADN from a local community college OR an a-BSN from a state university? Will I have trouble getting a job as an ADN as opposed to someone who has a BSN? Since I already have two advanced degrees that I don't use, I'm not looking to go back to school only to have a degree that I can't get a job with. Thanks for your input.

Finish your pre-reqs first. You have at least a year worth of those based on having an art degree. Get NO LESS than an A in every single one to make yourself competitive.

Then apply to every ASN and BSN program within a reasonable commute distance. If you get into a BSN program. Bingo. If you get into an ASN program, do that and then do the BSN online afterwards.

Forget about NP until you get all that done.

Texas A&M Corpus Christi has a BSN e-line nursing program. The eLine track coursework is completed online with the clinical component completed with a preceptor in your area (if available) and/or in a regional (i.e. Dallas/Ft. Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston) and/or local clinical groups in Corpus Christi.

eLine is the pre-licensure nursing track for the individual who wishes to earn their BSN degree while preparing to become a Registered Nurse (RN) but have not completed an associate or diploma program in nursing. The eLine track coursework is completed online with the clinical component completed with a preceptor in your area (if available) and/or in a regional (i.e. Dallas/Ft. Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston) and/or local clinical groups in Corpus Christi. Additionally, some (but not all) clinical components will be completed through virtual clinical experiences online. All clinical components must be completed within the state of Texas. The eLine pre-licensure nursing track is five semesters in length.
