OMG!!! 75 Questions!?!?

Published

Sooo...I just got back from my NCLEX, and now I don't know what to think. I got about 4 SATA, 4 calculations, maybe one infection control question, and about 6 medications. It was the most bizarre test I have ever taken. I felt like I narrowed down each question down to 2 answers. I went in with the mentality that I would get 265 questions, and when it stopped at 75...I almost flipped out!!

I never understood what people meant when they said they wanted the computer keep going, but now I totally know. I'm so freaked out because I just knew that I would get a bunch of SATA, and everytime a math questions popped up I freaked out. Please pray for me and now begins the 2 day wait...I will keep you all updated.

Oh yeah...all last night I was up with the worst stomach ache that I think is from eating Chinese food, so I got horrible sleep, and the only thing I could even keep on my stomach (due to diarrhea...I know TMI) was pepto bismal. That's just a side note though, just thought you guys should know that lol.

And...chime in if you've had a similar testing experience PLEASE :typing

Congrats pitbull!! I hope I passed also!! I find out tomorrow!!

I'm sure you did just fine. I'm still feeling pretty euphoric. I don't know what to do with myself. I called my mom crying after I found out, and she just said "What's the matter with you...you knew you passed crazy!" We all stress ourselves out so much...be calm and breathe.

Kim

To those who have taken it and passed with 75 what were your study methods/ tools?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Thanx much

P.S. to those who are nervous and all others studying to take/retake NCLEX soon, God Bless!

congratulations on becoming an rn pitbull!! all the best with your new job!!! :yeah:

Well...I did the first tip of Suzanne's Plan, and then since I didn't have enough time I strictly used Saunder's CD for questions. I did questions everyday except for Sunday. I also looked through Kaplan's strategy book. The two biggest things for me was confidence and prayer. Good luck to you with your future NCLEX...I'm sure you'll be fine.

Kim

Oh yeah...I feel that the NCLEX makes sure that people who pass have commone sense and book sense, so a lot of questions on the NCLEX won't be found in any review book. Just use ur gut instinct and think through every question.

Specializes in NICU.
