OHSU BSN 2016 Applicants

Hey everyone! I am applying for OHSU BSN monmouth program this coming Fall for the 2016 school year! I would love to get a thread started :) It was so helpful last year! I will also be applying for Chemeketa this year.

Hey all!

I'm SO anxious waiting to hear back after the Portland campus 3-year program interviews last week...anybody have any reasonable estimate when we might hear back? I know they said for sure within 3-4 weeks, but it seems in previous years that we could hear back as early as today (Thursday) or tomorrow? Was there anyone else here who was part of the Friday 6/8 Portland afternoon interviews? I'm the 6'1" dude who was in black rolled up sleeves and dark red tie:) Excited to possibly start a program with you guys, all the other applicants I met that day were so nice & fun.

Anyway, congrats to those who have already been accepted, and good luck to the rest of you who are waiting to hear too!!

Also @Smill204-- I don't think that's a dumb question, but I don't think it would be a good idea, given the format of the interviews. The interviews were 3 interviewers and 5 applicants, all at once, alternating with various questions down the line. It would've been really awkward to hand over a resume at any point during the process when no one else was and when it wasn't asked for...it would've felt like you were disregarding their instructions. Good question though!

Hello! I also interviewed on Friday with the third group and am very anxious as well. The other couple campuses found out after a week to a week and a half so I have a feeling we will hear back next week.

I'm Reid and I was in 4B, which was the crew that did their interview in the more central room of the 3 rooms that were used for interviews. Hope you get in!!!

I get super nervous every time my phone goes off too haha. I was group 3c. I think that was the last group of the day. I hope we both get in!! Do you know how many males interviewed?

3c? You were with me then. But we werent the last of the day.

Yeah I think I remember 3C being along with my group (i.e. at the same time). I don't know for sure, but I'd guess there was maybe 15-20 males total? There was 1 other male in my interview group, but I think that was higher than the average; I think most other interview groups had about 1 male, from what I could tell.

Yes mbells, I was in your group. I was the one in the middle with the pink shirt.

Oh okay. In the group of 15 that I was in we had 5 males.

Oh I would love it if they would let us know sooner rather than later! It seems like the other campuses have been sending their emails out about a week after interviews. Waiting now is the hardest 😁. I interviewed on 4/4 but I have to agree that all of the other applicants were so nice and great to chat with...definitely made me feel a little more at ease! Good luck to you!!

Did anybody who interviewed Saturday happen to ask how many people they were interviewing total for Ashland? I know the cohort size is 32, wondering how many names are in the hat. Someone told me there was morning and afternoon groups, which if they were all 24 people would be 96 interviewees for 32 slots which sort of seems like a higher ratio than the other campuses.
