Does anyone know what happens if you're not invited for an interview? Do they send you a denial letter or anything?

Last years thread showed them sending out e-mails for interviews the week of finals for the winter term, which is starting next week. I think if you aren't selected to interview you just don't hear anything back -- the e-mail sent out when the application period closed says, "If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted by Faculty in mid-March. Candidates not selected for an interview will not be contacted."

Yes! Please post if you get invited for an interview. I have been checking my phone like a mad woman! If I don't, here's to doing really good on that Kaplan test at Chemeketa!! Anybody care to share the questions they were asked at the mock interview?

They were pretty general like: Why do you want to be a nurse? How have you handled conflict? Why do you want to go to ohsu? What do you think think the nurse profession does? What difficulties do you see yourself having as a nurse?

Hello! I have applied to the Portland campus. I am excited and nervous about invites coming out soon! Wish I found this thread sooner. (: I've applied to other schools as well, and went to a mock interview at MHCC last Tuesday. Good luck, everyone!

I signed up for next Wednesday for the interview prep at MHCC. Did you do both or just the mock interview? Did it help?

I did both. I thought it was very helpful! Although, there was some sort of error for my appointment for the mock interview. I ended up being the only one there because it wasn't on their schedule? It was strange, but I had an email to prove that the time was correct. Anyway, the mock interview was a little intimidating for me, and she was very straight forward on what I needed to change. Overall, I'm glad I did it!

There was just two of us for the prep session, so that was nice. My friend went to another session and there were 8 of them, and they weren't able to complete the session. Hope for fewer people!

I'm not able to do the mock interview because there aren't anymore sessions but I did get the prep session so I'm hoping that will be helpful enough! Thanks!

Ok, so are they going to email us or send a letter out? My friend called and they said a letter but I thought in previous years it was an email?! Anybody?! Did anyone hear anything yet? í ½í¸

I thought there was an email that said we would be notified via e-mail, but now I can't find it. I haven't heard anything yet.

Oh weird. I also thought i saw something that specifically said e-mail but Im just seeing "notified". Nothing specific. Haha. I guess I assumed e-mail because that's what I've always read?
