Hello everone!

I'm starting this new thread for all applicants to OHSU for this upcoming application cycle. I myself am applying as soon as Fall term is done. Everyone else who's applying feel free to post here- questions, comments, etc. A very wise piece of advice someone on this forum gave me was that it's going to be a tough and stressful application process, but much better when we can team up and get through it together:)

I haven't heard anything yet although my last transcript didn't arrive until the third week of January so they couldn't look at my application until then, apparently. The waiting is very stressful, but having been a home birth midwife, it helps to think of it as an awaited delivery. The hardest part is being unable to plan what life will look like in 5 months!

I too applied for Acc Bac to FNP and Acc Bac. I haven't heard anything but I did email on Wednesday and was told that FNP should hear by Friday and Acc Bac RN notifications will go out next week. Seeing how it's now Friday at 2pm and I haven't heard anything I suppose I am hoping to hear next week. I will post anything I hear on here. Good luck to all hopeful applicants out there!

Hey all! This is my first time posting, and I just wanted to share info from admissions. I had read some people received interview invitations for the AccBacc program, and I was curious if all invites had gone out. I only applied to the AccBacc, but I knew my chances of getting an interview were slim since my stats aren't super stellar. Here's the response I got:

"Thank you for contacting the OHSU School of Nursing. The first round of applicants have been selected for interviews. All applicants will be notified of whether or not they are chosen for an interview, but other applicants can still be called in for an interview if necessary. Admissions decisions will be sent out shortly after interviews have concluded."

Good luck to anyone who was invited for an interview!

Hello all,

If you haven't heard back about the Accellerated BSN program, I recommend you call the admissions office. I didn't receive the email offering me an interview and would have missed the boat if I hadn't called. ---------------- is organizing the interviews and is incredibly helpful. The number is 503-494-7725 or email at [email protected]. I know how hard all of you have worked to get to this point and I wouldn't want you to miss this opportunity. Does anyone know whether they are continuing to invite people for interviews? I emailed on February 10th and received the same generalized message that was described above. Has anyone gotten notification that they haven't been chosen? I'm starting to loose heart but trying to stay optimistic.

Hey all,

Sorry for joining this thread so late, but I applied to OHSU ABSN program (Portland Campus), and I got an interview invitation email on Feb.6th. It said " On behalf of the faculty at the Portland Campus, I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected to interview....." and it had an assigned interview date, time and group. I am invited to the interview in March 2nd, at 1pm. They also asked to reply with interview acceptance email by Feb.11th, so they might call or email to whoever did not get the invitation yet.. But I would recommend to call them and find out. Good luck everyone!

Anyone here apply to the Portland BSN program? When do people generally start hearing about interviews?

hello i applied last year, we got invited to interviews about march 18th. I would assume a few more weeks before we hear anything for the BSN program

Gah! The waiting is torturous haha. So they invite you via email, and then how much time is there generally before the actual interview dates? I'm going to have to fly up if I get one and I hate to book something so last minute í ½í¸¬

Hi yes I know the waiting is pretty hard. Last year they gave almost a month notice before the interview , I got the email invite about March 18 the and the interview was about April 15th so I would anticipate it to be around that time . I think they try to give you enough time to plan it but I can't know for certain when they will have the interviews for this year. Good luck though , I hope we hear back soon too !

Hi all. Been meaning to look for this thread, but has been a crazy busy winter! I applied for Nurse-Midwifery Program to get CNM/DNP. In my past, I have trained to be direct entry midwife, then went to nursing school, now I work as an RN in OB GYN setting.

Was called in the beginning of January to schedule my interview(1/9/17, I know because I still have the voicemail!), interviewed on 1/19/17. Was notified on 3/1/17 that I was accepted to fall cohort. Very excited!!
