  1. hi! would it be possible to gain access or be sent the study guide? I think the link is faulty because it's giving me a notification that it's failed to load. I am planning to take my test in about a month!
  2. Hi jacckie - my pre req GPA was a little over a 3.3. I was waitlisted then accepted. I didn't do all that well as an undergrad but worked my butt off with my pre reqs while working, volunteering, shadowing, etc. I'm sure anyone on this thread can attest to doing the same, if not more. good luck!
  3. I got accepted! For those that are still waiting, they are waiting to hear back from those who were taken off the waiting list (12PM EST) and then going from there. To anyone that didn't get accepted or doesn't, do NOT give up! Stay resilient. If you have any questions, etc, feel free to dm me :).
  4. update- I just received an email from admissions and they have done their first round of reviews (not accepted, bummer!!). good luck to everyone :)
  5. nothing yet - my nerves....
  6. thanks sara94 for sharing! I am just curious but what facilities do the ABSM students do their clinicals? there's no specifics on the site or curriculum. also, do the undergraduate bsn and absn share the same locations? do you have a mentor or do they encourage students to find their own?
  7. Hi! Joining in on this post as I also applied to MUSC for fall 2017. I've worked in healthcare administration for about 6 years (first 5 in Pedi Hem/Onc and remaining in Neonatology), Bachelors in Economics, currently volunteer at a youth homeless shelter in seattle, and have shadowed in two NICUs and in the inpatient and outpatient cancer units in Boston. I've applied to a few other places and am waiting to hear back from Umass Amherst, NEU, UIC (i just interviewed with them), OHSU, and MUSC. For the pre-re deficiencies, this almost nearly gave me a heart attack so I emailed the admissions coordinator. The deficiencies didn't mean I didn't complete them, it meant that I was waived but there's no way to indicate that on the progress screen. I would email Katie Patterson if you are worried about what the pre-req deficiencies might mean in your case because mine was for English Composition and Microbiology.
  8. fyi for those who are still waiting: Thank you for contacting the OHSU School of Nursing. The first round of applicants have been selected for interviews. All applicants will be notified of whether or not they are chosen for an interview, but other applicants can still be called in for an interview if necessary. Admissions decisions will be sent out shortly after interviews have concluded. good luck everyone!
  9. so happy to see this thread started! I got my application complete email on 2/1 which also indicates that we will be hearing back in March from the school of nursing whether we are accepted or not...ahh, my nerves! I just heard back from UIC and will be interviewing with them at the end of the month. I also applied to a few accelerated programs. Good luck everyone!
