OHSU applicants for the 2016-2017 cycle

Hello everone!

I'm starting this new thread for all applicants to OHSU for this upcoming application cycle. I myself am applying as soon as Fall term is done. Everyone else who's applying feel free to post here- questions, comments, etc. A very wise piece of advice someone on this forum gave me was that it's going to be a tough and stressful application process, but much better when we can team up and get through it together:)

I was wondering if the snow delayed anything, so that makes me feel a little better at least. I applied to the PMHNP program, and I'm pathologically checking my email... Good luck everyone!

I heard the snow delayed the committee meeting for med school decisions, so maybe the same thing happened with us.

Has anyone heard any updates? On Jan 5th their application status update email said 2-3 weeks and on Thursday it will be 4 weeks...

Still nothing over here. . . I've resolved to call admissions on Wednesday if I still haven't heard anything by then. Anyone else have any details??

no details...but just fyi, a different school I applied to didn't even notify people of their interviews till 2 weeks beforehand, so this is normal (although a little inconvenient)

I guess it depends which program you applied to - the CNM program interviews were supposed to take place January 19 & 20 (snow week) and this upcoming weekend.

oops - i was basing this off of the FNP interview date which is supposed to be Feb 17th I believe. That is stressful! Good luck!

I got a call tonight and was offered an interview for the PMHNP program! Calls are starting to go out!

I just called in to the OHSU admissions office and the gal on the phone informed me that CNM applicants have already been notified if they are included in the first round of interviews. Hope this is helpful!

Do you know if they are done making calls for PMHNP yet?

Has anyone heard about ACC BAC interviews for Portland? I applied to both ACC BAC and Midwifery!

Hi all, I'd like to jump on this thread also. I applied for both the ACBAC an the ACBAC to midwifery programs. I was also a direct-entry midwife for 6 years. I'm super antsy about hearing back from OHSU also! Good luck everyone!

Did you get an interview? for either? I applied to both too!
