Hey guys! I wasn't able to find a thread for students applying for the June 2017 start so I decided to Start one.
I thought it might be nice to hear from other prospective students going through the process. I submitted my application the first week of November and while I don't want to wish the holiday season away I'm already impatient to hear something back.
Hello everyone! I've been following these posts for awhile as a prospective student. And I'm wondering if there might be any current or former acc bac to masters students out there skimming this message board, too? It would be great to hear from you w/ any insight into the acc bac/masters program(s) in general, the culture of the school and the intensity of the workload over the first summer semester? Hope to hear back!

Lily, I was in the acc bac to master's program a while ago, so I'm sure some things have changed, but I thought I'd comment anyway.
Like many from my cohort, I hadn't been in school full-time for several years, so the schedule was kind of tiring. Seems like we were in class from the time we woke up until the time we went to sleep! The actual academic work wasn't terribly difficult, though, and I made some really great friends (because we were together ALL OF THE TIME! Haha). The culture within the school was kind of "entrenched" and not open to some kinds of change, although their requirements of us seemed to change every week. I think many instructors had been there since they'd finished school (some, forever), and they hadn't done much EBP/research since they finished their doctorates. C'est la vie, I suppose. Most of that faculty pool is gone now, so I'm certain things have changed quite a bit in the last 8-10 years. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd definitely recommend it...ESPECIALLY if you have health care experience in your area of focus!
I'm sorry for such a long post. Congratulations to those who have been accepted, good luck to all who continue to wait...and if you don't get in, there are other excellent programs out there! :)

Any updates from those who applied to the FNP program? I had my interview Tuesday morning, does anyone know when we should be hearing back?:)
