OHSU Accelerated Bachelors to Masters Summer 2017 Cohort

Hey guys! I wasn't able to find a thread for students applying for the June 2017 start so I decided to Start one.

I thought it might be nice to hear from other prospective students going through the process. I submitted my application the first week of November and while I don't want to wish the holiday season away I'm already impatient to hear something back.

Congratulations on getting into Yale! That sounds like a big deal. Yes I do remember meeting you. OHSU was the only school I applied to , so I'm really glad I got in.

Hi guys, I'm waitlisted for both the Acbac/FNP AND the Acbac for Portland, though they say I'm "highly likely" to be offered admission for the acbac. Any idea as to how the waitlists work? How much movement happens? Thanks!

Seattle3573 What made you choose Yale? I was accepted to their midwifery program and OHSU's and while I'm 90% positive I'm going with OHSU I'm curious why you chose Yale!

I think you need to give it some time. I haven't even gotten an acceptance packet in the mail. I know that some people will be selected from the wait list because some people will take other spots in other programs. It just takes some time for those things to be official and the spots to be offered to the next person.

Anyone know when the deadline is for decisions for those admitted?

I still haven't received my letter so I don't even know yet. I'm a little surprised it's taking so long. Apparently they were mailed on Tuesday. I imagine there will be about two weeks to make a decision, but that is just a guess.

This info is for the accbacc program, not the masters. I also have not received my letter for the PMHNP program which was sent on Friday.

Hi all, I received a call from OHSU this morning offering me admission to the ACBAC to FNP program in ASHLAND!! I am pretty firmly planted here in Portland but we are considering it so I have not made any firm decisions yet. I applied for the Portland program, which is full, so this came as quite a surprise! I was also told that I would be offered a spot for the summer ACBAC program, and that I should get a formal offer of admission within the next few days. Apparently they have not notified anyone off of the waitlist yet. I'm so excited to have some options. I will make a decision once I have formal, official offers of admission! Good luck to everyone. I'll let you know what I choose! I'm excited to meet some of you soon!
