OHSU Acc Bacc/Acc Bacc to DNP 2020 Cohort

Hi everyone. I'm creating this topic for those who have already or are finishing up their NursingCAS applications for the 2020 Cohort for either of the following programs at Oregon Health and Science University: Accelerated Bachelors, 3-year (traditional) Bachelors, or the Acc Bachelors to DNP/PhD. Hope everyone is doing well! Deadline is January 6, 2020 for some of these programs.

My interview is on the 18th

does anyone have any details on the interview? I saw the ABSN interviews are divided into groups? Is our interview different? Is there a panel/group interview?

the email said we would get more details after RSVPing, but I just received a place and time. I’m scheduling mock interviews and such to be prepared.

I don't know any details about the interview either. I RSVP'd with the date they provided but I don't even have a time for my interview. I'm still waiting to hear back. I'm hoping they'll respond tomorrow and maybe give more information.

I messaged a friend who is currently in the Acc Bacc - Mental Health NP program and she said her interview was with a panel of professors and was only about a half hour and then there is lunch and a Q&A portion for the interview students. She said that was a few years ago, so I don't know if any of that has changed.

I was informed by the school that ABSN-DNP applicants interview with the DNP only applicants for whichever specialty they've applied for. So in your case, the interview will be with ABSN-PNP and PNP applicants.

Idk if that's helpful at all, but that's what ohsu told me.

I just got a phone call this evening accepting the OHSU ABSN-FNP in Portland! I'm so honored and humbled that they chose me. Best of luck, everyone!
