Ohio State Master's Entry Summer 2016

I applied for neonatal and pediatrics and I haven't heard anything yet. Has anyone been accepted without being asked to an interview? Has anyone received a decision yet? I'm freaking out a little since I have not been asked to do an interview. Any feedback would really be appreciated!

I haven't heard anything yet either. Last year it was about a month in between interview and when the first denials started going out. The decisions were done in waves and those of us who were the first to hear were denied. Someone here heard back much later and was wait listed but ultimately was not offered admittance.

As for not receiving an interview, did you contact either admissions or the college of nursing?

I would contact the admissions office about the interview if you have questions. OSU's students are on break until January 11 so I bet we won't hear anything until after then. The deadline to hear back is January 31.

I haven't contacted them but maybe I will to ask if everyone being considered will be asked to do an interview?

I didn't receive an interview either. I believe a few of us on this site didn't get an interview invitation. I'm not sure whether that means they've already made up their minds one way or another or not. I just wish if we were for the axe, they'd let it swing.

Hey Everyone,

I just found this thread and wanted to join in! I applied for PMHNP and also interviewed online last month. SO ANXIOUS! Does anyone know if the admissions office wants us to send them updated transcripts if we've finished a pre req since the applications were due? I'm super nervous about the people who have mentioned not getting in because of pre reqs not being complete. Do you know that is for sure the reason you weren't admitted?

Last year, I called admissions and asked if I could update my transcripts after I had finished a pre-req. I was not able to do this. However, their policy may have changed so I would call and ask.

After I didn't get in last year, one of the faculty members said that one of the reasons I did not get in is because I did not have my pre-reqs completed, however this was not in the PMHNP area.

So I just spoke with admissions and I was told I received an interview invitation 12/9/15. I've been checking my email constantly. I've even checked the spam and there's nothing there. She said she's going to speak to the faculty to see if anything can be done. I really hope this doesn't prevent me from getting in. She also said there were other people who received an interview and never responded. So if you haven't heard anything I would call admissions just to be sure.
