Ohio State Master's Entry Summer 2016

Hello! Has anyone out there applied to the Entry Master's Program at Ohio State for the Summer 2016 start?

Guys..... I got an invite for an online interview today. So nervous.

You'll do great! I called the CON to see if there was any way to prepare and the girl there said it's more of a "purpose and goals" interview to make sure what you said in your statement lines up with what you say in the interview and with what they're looking for in a candidate. She said, "it's questions you've probably already considered and know the answers to!"

I don't think last year everyone got one. It did say in the email that while this isn't an acceptance it's a sign that your application is competitive.

Hello all! I received an invitation this morning as well and am very excited! I applied for PMHNP. I have to say, I have been incredibly impressed by OSU's admissions team. They have been stellar in every way (enormously helpful, readily available, very thoughtful, and as transparent as possible). I feel grateful for this positive experience, especially given how stressful the process is.

I am nervous too (of course), but trying to remember that this is a wonderful opportunity to further illustrate why I am a great fit for this program and why I will be an effective Nurse Practitioner. The same surely goes for all of you! Good luck everyone.

Hi Everyone,

I'm a lurker here - first time posting....just wanted to add to the excitement, that I, too, received an interview invite this morning! Very exciting. I had completed all my pre-reqs (besides STNA) a couple years ago, just built up the courage to apply to the program 10 days before this years deadline though - so we'll see how it goes. I have applied to Women's Health. Wishing everyone luck!

I also got the interview. Hopefully it's a good sign that they're still considering us after reviewing our applications. I had an interview last year and was denied though.

Hi everyone!

I'm paranoid reading these comments because I didn't get an interview invite. Does everyone get an invite or do they only do interviews for the more competitive specialities?

My invite came from the director of my specialization. I did apply for one of the more competitive specializations, CNM. I wonder if less competitive specializations don't need interviews because there are fewer applicants to sort through.

I too received an invite from the director of the specialization I chose. It was also a competitive specialization.
