Ohio State Master's Entry Summer 2016

Hello! Has anyone out there applied to the Entry Master's Program at Ohio State for the Summer 2016 start?

Positive vibes please! Dear Friends,

I called OSU's admissions for a status update. They informed me that a decision on my application has been made but it goes to the Graduate Program first and they have to "do their thing" and then I will get updated. She was not able to confirm an acceptance or a rejection at this time. She told me to just wait and I should get the result soon. I really don't want to read too much into this (even though my brain is telling me all sorts of things like, "if it was a YES, then she would have just told you over the phone..."), but I am just reaching out to you all to please keep me (and others waiting!) in your thoughts since it seems decisions have now been finalized and they are just having us wait. All your support is always appreciated! Thanks.

Wow that's torture!!! They seem to be releasing decisions on the weekends, so maybe you'll find out Friday night like this last round did? I hope it's soon, I know how painful the mind game is to play with yourself. We all know what a tough position that is to be in, I am definitely rooting for ya.

aww, good point! Is it weird that I'm still super nervous to meet everyone? I've never been so anxious about starting school in my life lol

@flexis: I am nervous about meeting everyone too... I am super self-conscious about being with kids 10 years younger than me and feeling out of the loop on what is hip :p when I was taking pre-reqs I tried to blend in as much as possible and still got called "ma'am." Bah!

To all the accepted students - I'm soooo sorry I forgot to mention this in my earlier post...when I called the Grad Office, they told me that they just finalized the start date for the program! It will start June 7th. I was so caught up on them telling me that they made a decision on me and to wait to hear...that I didn't realize until now that this would be pertinent information for you guys! So it seems that it is now confirmed that start date for the program is June 7th, not June 21st. Hope that's helpful to some!

@hungrystudent i was actually wondering what the demographics of our class might look like. I bet it will be all different ages, some right out of college, and some who worked after college and are now getting back in. I graduated from OSU in 2012 so it's been a few years. I started the pre-reqs a year ago because i was really itching to get back to school after 3 straight years without a raise and living paycheck to paycheck working full time and still after picking up a part time job on top of it. So excited for this change in course.

Please don't worry about being a mature student! I am 48 with 2 kids and just completed my Bachelors in Fine ARt at CCAD in dec 2013. Being back in school was such a wonderful experience. It was such a great time to connect with people of all ages. Thanks so much for the start date information!! Looking forward to meeting you all!
