October NCLEX takers: MOTIVATE

Published

If you are taking NCLEX in October as I am here is a place to get motivated. As of today you have approximately 4-8 weeks to prepare for this life changing test. That is more than enough time if you haven't started yet.

Now crack open whatever review book you have and hit it because now is the time to begin. Start typing :typing those review sheets, looking over rationales start with the stuff you know you need help with and feel like :banghead: because by the end of your study time you'll be up to the stuff you do know and you'll hopefully feel more comfortable at test time... or maybe you won't.

Anybody else motivating tips, or study tips for NCLEX

thanks! I hope you have a good day studying.

I am also taking the test in October. It is time to be motivated!! I am using Saunders, La Charity and Linda Hurst to study from. I am also using flashcards. I have joined a church and attending now on a regular basis for hope, prayer and support. I have a Journey and it is to be an LPN nurse once and for all. GOD is going to help me get me through this test and this wonderful Forum. So October takers lets support each other.

:confused:DOES ANYONE KNOW OF THE BEST FLASHCARDS TO USE FOR NCLEX-RN? HAVE TONS OF BOOKS BUT NO CARDS. THIS WOULD HELP ME GREATLY. THANKS

i know for a fact the only way i got thru rn school was by being on my knees in prayer. I will be praying for you! I will be taking my nclex this month too. :D

i just took mine over an hour ago. i must say that it started out easy but then it got challenging. the only thing that worries me though is that i got stopped right after a question that i most likely got wrong. now, i'm wondering if that was a bad sign 'cause i really wasn't sure of the answer and right after that i was done. all in all, it wasn't so bad. what i mentioned is the only thing that bothers me.

Hi Cass,

I have the 4th edition. Thanks.Haven't done the questions for a while. Just wanna get some content upstairs lol .

I am glad to hear you didn't think it went to bad. I too took the exam yesterday. I felt the ENTIRE thing was a challenge. I had a ton of SATA as well as meds...not anything common either, it is awfully hard to know what you would teach a pt. when you don't know the med. I have heard people say that if you got your last questions right..then it is likely you passed--It makes sense. Were you able to locate info on your last questions?? Maybe you got it right. I know that the number of questions you have is NOT supposed to have any connections to how you did but..If you had 85 (PN) and the comp. shut down then you either know your stuff or REALLY don't know your stuff...otherwise you would have been given more questions to determine your abilities. I did REALLY well in nursing school and did MANY,MANY,MANY,MANY questions. After actually taking the test not sure how possible it is to "prepare" I don't feel I had one question that would prove i have the ability to perform basic care...waiting on results today.

Good-Luck, hope you passed.

Good luck guys. Let' hope for the best though the last question is really important. Keep your fingers crossed.

Hey I just got my results. I PASSED. I had 85 questions and a Bunch of SATA--Can only "remember" one questions that i "totally" knew...my brain just wanted to remember ALL the ones I DID NOT KNOW/was Unsure of. Yeahhhhhh!
