is it just first last and then lvn? are there any punctuations? what if you were IV certified? what if you were both IV and blood withdrawal certified? I'm just wondering because I wanted to make a signature for my email account and have my title next to my name and the certifications I have.

2 of my classmates tried the trick and it worked for them. 1 of them had a brother who also tried the trick and it worked for him but in a bad way. he failed. i also tried the trick myself and it works because today i got my results saying that i passed.

this is exactly the reason why i gave up on graphic design/animation and got into nursing but now i'm also having the same problem finding a job. just like graphic design/animation, there isn't a single place that will hire an lvn without experience. -_- i may just have to pay my dues and work at a nursing home. then after a year i can actually apply at hospitals that require a minimum of 1 year experience.

this is how i looked like during clinicals no one really had a problem with it. that was actually the longest i had my beard i usually have a 24/7 5 o'clock shadow since my facial hair grows so fast. i never had any complaints about my hair nor my beard. btw no complaints from any of my patients either. none of them were frightened nor offended. i was very friendly and caring towards them and they treated me the same.

i have 2 classmates that i know who tried the trick, got the pop-up, and later passed. they didn't try it after a week or so after they took the nlcex-PN. i, however, took my nclex-pn this morning at 8am and it is now 10:30pm. i just tried the trick and got the pop-up. i felt really happy since it worked for my 2 classmates, but now that i stumbled into this thread, i'm pretty worried. 4-5 weeks from now i promise to came back to this thread and post what i received...whether it's good or bad news.

i just took mine over an hour ago. i must say that it started out easy but then it got challenging. the only thing that worries me though is that i got stopped right after a question that i most likely got wrong. now, i'm wondering if that was a bad sign 'cause i really wasn't sure of the answer and right after that i was done. all in all, it wasn't so bad. what i mentioned is the only thing that bothers me.

yes, it is wrong. as someone previously mention, take it to one of the higher ups. the nursing instructor has no right to say such a thing nor does he/she have the right to pass judgment like that. so, take it to the higher ups and have them handle him/her accordingly.

relax. this happens to me too. it's just like how a classmate of mine gets a higher grade than me when he and i both know that i know more than he does. sometimes it's just that particular test or a particular question/questions. from the looks of it you're doing pretty well. so, just keep it up and try your best everytime you take a test.

i agree with this. this site will help. with regards to your mom, just keep doing what you're doing. sometimes it just takes some time to retain new information. especially if it's a good amount of info.

yes, be sure to share your experience. mine was pretty interesting. i missed the first 2 days of class! the school didn't tell me that they changed the date on when class started. haha.

i think the pay scales are fine the way they are except that hospitals need to pay lpn/lvn's more like how nursing homes do. that and i think that cna's need to be paid a little more than what they're getting right now 'cause i've seen all the things they've done. they put in work.

if you got the books that they gave you already, then maybe you should you look at the syllabus and read ahead. otherwise, if you ain't got nothin' then i really don't think you need to read anything. seriously, i didn't know anything about health care at all when i started and i did fine.

when you read, don't read as if you're just reading the words. you gotta read and understand what you're reading. so, just read and re-read until you understand i guess.

hmm. i never thought of it that way. i'll be sure to keep that in mind once i go back to school for rn.

-_- that's me...it sucks! finally we have a hospital to go to but we just finished maternal nursing, and we had no place to experience any of that for clinicals 'cause the hospital did not have a maternal unit. i also agree with you on that first bold statement. i'm one of those students, and i'm making the best of the situation. so, my advice is if you're stuck there, then just do your best!
