    October NCLEX takers: MOTIVATE

I took the exam Last thursday Oct 1, I did try the "pearson trick"--I got a pop up window saying something like "You are currently in our system and are unable to register at this time please contact the national board of nursing for further assistance". I did find out the next morning I passed ! :) Although i did not "trust" the response because I thought it might have been too soon to try it. I took the PN exam and had 85 questions. As others have said on this site if you remember your last question and can confirm you got it right that is a GOOD indicator of whether you passed or failed as well as the SATA questions--you have to figure they are DIFFICULT questions so if you had many of them I believe that you MUST have answered the previous questions correctly.Good luck i hope you hear good news soon!!

    LPN Graduation Speech

Hey, I just graduated in August..We had 2 speakers at our pinning ceremony (my college has 2 campus-so 1 from each) One of the speakers had an awsome speech...She reflected on how helpful/encouraging the instructors were-Classmates support ,endless study groups, how "we" have made lifelong relationships with our peers...She was AWESOME (and she wasn't from my campus). I will try to watch the video and then post more of what she covered..It was a moving speech.

Response to Stasis DC5 I am glad to hear you didn't think it went to bad. I too took the exam yesterday. I felt the ENTIRE thing was a challenge. I had a ton of SATA as well as meds...not anything common either, it is awfully hard to know what you would teach a pt. when you don't know the med. I have heard people say that if you got your last questions right..then it is likely you passed--It makes sense. Were you able to locate info on your last questions?? Maybe you got it right. I know that the number of questions you have is NOT supposed to have any connections to how you did but..If you had 85 (PN) and the comp. shut down then you either know your stuff or REALLY don't know your stuff...otherwise you would have been given more questions to determine your abilities. I did REALLY well in nursing school and did MANY,MANY,MANY,MANY questions. After actually taking the test not sure how possible it is to "prepare" I don't feel I had one question that would prove i have the ability to perform basic care...waiting on results today. Good-Luck, hope you passed.

    When to schedule the Nclex?

Thanks for your reply. Actually, my instructor suggesting that on the second time around sitting for the nclex you get ALL questions did not give me falst hope...it actually gave me FEAR. I mean I would rather have a chance of answering 85 questions instead of 250.

    When to schedule the Nclex?

I am a recent grad of a PN program. We were given a "Surprise" Diagnostic Readiness Test (mock Nclex)- 2 weeks before the end of the program. The results stated that i was in the top 11% of the norming group that took this test (I am guessing this means my class), and in the top 10% of those who took Nclex and passed it. (I am not sure how that can be possible) I was awaiting these results to help me determine how much studying/reviewing time i needed prior to taking the real thing. Is anyone familiar with this test i speak of?? and if so how did you do on it? and did you pass Nclex firt time around? Question: for those of you who are taking or took Nclex for a 2nd time did you get ALL the questions on your second time?? (one of my instructors told us that if we failed the first time that we are guaranteed to get ALL the questions the second time, regardless of how well we did. Thanks, any info-appreciated!
