OCC - who all is applying this year?

Published

Hi! Just wondering who all was interested in occ's program and who was currently applying and what your stats are :)

I am applying this year. So far, it looks like I have all A's except for one A-. Granted, I am also in A&P right now and will finish up at the end of this semester, so that may change lol.

How is it going with all of you??

I sincerely hope it's not a 3.9 but it looks like it will be!

I am in the same boat grade-wise! I had to re-take 4 classes to get there though :-/ From the looks of things, I can definitely see the GPA going up

I too have 10 As and 1 A- and agree with all of you that it would be ridiculous if we did not get in because of an A-!!

However, I also hope that the mere fact that we're communicating on this forum means that we're the top of the group....making that extra effort? The ones who stay after class, lol. That while there are likely a much higher number of 4.0s than last year, it is highly unlikely that there will be so many it will raise the cutoff to 3.9. I'm hoping not anyway.

I have to write on this post as an ex-occ student :) You guys all have awesome grades and if you don't make it in you should really consider some other universities because you will get in asap. I know a lot of people write about the money difference and thats why I hesitated before I transferred but there are so many scholarship and grant opportunities at them that I actually alomst pay less then then I did at OCC :) Good Luck to you all and if any of you guys don't make it in then they are really crazy!

ahh iluvpatho thanks for the encouragement! I'm freaking out!

Seriousely, it's bad. I play dumb mine games with God, like, I'll be looking out the window and i'm like "if the next car I see is a car, then that means I'll get in. If it's an SUV then I won't" or dumb stuff like that which obviousely means nothing and is illogical but I'm just so nervous!!

Ahh here's to waiting till March :p

Lol!!!! I did the same! I have two lil boys and I took them to park as I was waiting, my letter was expected anytime from end of Aug. to late Sept., and there was thing at the park that you could spin kind of like a magic eight ball and I would ask it "Am i going to get into nursing school?" It said no! :( It also said i would not get an A in pathophysiology! It was wrong on both parts lol the wait is awful although I was lucky I got mine before I even expected it. I thought it was just some paper from school cause it didn't say from school of nursing on it. And then you get the joy of waiting forever to start which is almost worst :) But fun too
