OCC - who all is applying this year?

Published

Hi! Just wondering who all was interested in occ's program and who was currently applying and what your stats are :)

I am applying this year. So far, it looks like I have all A's except for one A-. Granted, I am also in A&P right now and will finish up at the end of this semester, so that may change lol.

How is it going with all of you??

You sound like me! I have all A's and one A- from an English class. I'm done with Ethics (she told me I got the A and can skip the final), and I have over 100% in Micro which will be over with in about ten days. I applied in Oct. I'm going back up to Highland soon though to triple check that everything is in order! We should get in, right?:uhoh3:

PM me if you want to talk during the long wait!

It sounds like you two have been working your butts off. Great grades! Im sure you are both going to get in with those scores. Im starting LPN next month. After that I will be back in pre-reqs for the bridge program. This is going to be a long haul for me.

It will be very interesting to see how high the cutoff is this year. I bet it will be 3.9?

I sincerely hope it's not a 3.9 but it looks like it will be!

Question?

If you take the regular track, do they still offer Pharm in the summer?

yes you can.. but you have to let them know that you want to take it in the summer once you receive your acceptance letter.

Hello all!

I applied to this program earlier this semester (4.0 GPA) and am really hoping that the accelerated program will be offered again. I realize it's quite early, but has anyone heard anything (regarding whether it will be offered next year)?

Best wishes to all of us!

Yes it is way to early to think about the accelerated program. The last two years it has taken DMC so long to make their decision on the program and with the purchase of DMC by the Vanguard group not completed yet, it will take even longer this year to make a decision to have a program or not. Last year the nursing office was talking about making changes to the accelerated program, I am not sure what type of changes but it was overheard in the office. The accelerated program would be nice and with your 4.0 you would be in but I like several other applicants have 10 A's and 1 A-.

2011 here we come :yeah::nurse::D

-This wait is driving me crazy. I'm terrified that 216 people will have 4.0's. UGH. I have ONE A- and that might not be good enough.

I don't even know how I'll cope:crying2:

LOL, I know its so hard not to worry, but my gosh I cant imagine that many people with 4.0. Someone asked about this when I went to the required info session last spring and they said they did not think that would happen.

^thanks Anne! That helps. :)

I'm imagining that when my letter comes I won't even open it for like a week. I'll be so nervous.:uhoh3:

I agree totally and we must have been at the same info session.
