OCC - 2010 applicants / 2011 ADN prospective students

Hey everyone! Im back for my second application into the ADN program at OCC ::sigh:: As I did in the thread I created last year, I am creating a new one for all those applying to the nursing progam for next fall. Lets keep in touch and keep one another updated. Good luck guys!!! :)

Omg their criteria is not fair..... I feel so bad for the ones who didn't get accepted..... I have a 3.9.... So u dnt care but I feel so bad for the ones who didn't make it.,. They should have a penalty for retaking classes... Even though I know some people who didn't make it this yr by retaking classes... Their criteria is pathetic... Occ students should have the first hand in the pick not wcccc or Henry ford

Yup. Summer 1 - Monday. Either of the mornings, but most likely 9-1pm.

To those who have received their acceptance letters, how do you indicate that you want to take pharmacology over the summer? And can you request the online sections versus the brick-and-mortar ones, or vice versa?

Hey ya it says it on the paper they sent you..whether u choose the times available they give you or the online option

I was so excited to get my acceptance letter, I forgot to post the other info. According to my GPA calculation (1 class I transferred in I'm not sure what the credits were) I have a 3.87. I'm picking the Wednesday summer Pharm class as my 1st choice, 9am Monday as my second. I was looking at the website and there are a lot of things to accomplish before fall. Better start my checklist! Lol

Was the cutoff really that high?!?!?!

mocha latte - i think you are calculating the gpa incorrectly because a friend of mine told me that the gpa cut off was a 3.880

That bums me out because that means I did not get in, with a 3.824

For those of you who think you didn't get in don't jump into conclusions until you actually see the letter... But I'm wondering if there was anaccelerated would the gpa have been lower?
