OCC - 2010 applicants / 2011 ADN prospective students

Hey everyone! Im back for my second application into the ADN program at OCC ::sigh:: As I did in the thread I created last year, I am creating a new one for all those applying to the nursing progam for next fall. Lets keep in touch and keep one another updated. Good luck guys!!! :)

Addison I don't think it means anything good or bad. I know for OCC everyone who applied will get a letter regardless. Mostly it just depends upon location I believe. The further out you are, the later you will receive a response, or at least that seemed to be what last year's thread implied as some who were accepted got their letters days after everyone else. Rest easy.:D

As for OCC - I'm taking my request sheet to HL campus tomorrow after my other class ends to get dibs on the sections I want. Anyone else taking Monday 9am-1pm for Pharm summer I?

After. I thought when you turn in your request forms, they give you that info. I hope they don't expect all that done before the 25 for everyone. I'm not sure how it all works yet.

I wish there was an accelerated!!!! Is it possible they might receive it later on, and those additional students who would have made it with the grant will get a spot in the program ?? So Im wondering what was the Average for the lpn program this yr

LPN 2011 cutoff GPA was 3.6 something

I don't know exact number because I got in and there was no explanation for it. It was the words from our instructor who basically is one of those who runs the program. I know its gone up from 3.5xxx. It seems like every program cutoff has gone up and keep going up each year!!!!

I plan to take pharmacology online over the summer. See you all in the fall!

you know Ive considered this route, but Ive never taken an online class before. Im a registered vet tech and had to take a veterinary pharmocology class so I imagine that it would not be quite as difficult for me as for the average student....but Im still not sure...must think on it.

Is the online class all summer or just 8 weeks?
