Hey everyone! Im back for my second application into the ADN program at OCC ::sigh:: As I did in the thread I created last year, I am creating a new one for all those applying to the nursing progam for next fall. Lets keep in touch and keep one another updated. Good luck guys!!! :)

You can get a pharm book now. But it is going to be too much for you. The lecture didn't go over in detail like the book would give you. Sometimes, you get confused trying to memorize everything. But if you think you can read and understand better. Do so. I got a book many months in advance but never touched it until I got into class. PowerPoint lecture was I focused on more and 80% of the quiz came from it.

well Im not so much concerned about understanding it as I am getting the right edition of the text. I wonder when they confirm what the exact book (s) for the course.

Check school bookstore website. It lists everything you need!

I felt the same way. But now I feel like an id..t after I took pharm. It just makes you feel that way.

I highly recommend you review your AP especially body's functions from head to toe.

I have seen some of my classmates today didn't pass the check-offs for baseline because they didn't know how to locate PMI. You literarily need to know those sterum bones--sterum notch, angle of Louise for instance.

Sorry, I didn't want to scare anyone. But be prepared, it's not that hard but you need to know your stuff!

I'm going to ECF in few weeks. Yay! ;)

Didnt you get a baseball cap and tshirt when you first started at OCC? Or will this be your first semester ?

Well, no. I wish they gave us stuff. Those t-shirt, sweat-shirt are available at the bookstore!

But it's very expensive. Sweatshirt costs $39+

Anyone know when we will actually be registered for our pharm classes and find out which class we were put in? I'm trying to be patient but I'm so darn excited!

I was wondering the same thing @rivasl. If not by tomorrow, I plan to call the department to find out (also to make sure they received my fax!).

The sheet said they needed an answer no later than March 25, so we'll probably be registered in early April.

Well since it'll be a while before we are registered, I thought later this week I'd go up to Highland's bookstore and buy the required Pharm syllabus.

This might sound weird, but would anyone like to meet me up there? Friday, most likely.
