Oakland University Accelerated BSN fall 2011 Cohort

Hi! I was wondering if anybody out there has interviewed for Oakland University's ABSN program for the FAll of 2011 cohort. I think it will be 3 to 4 weeks before we find out if we will get accepted or not. I wish everyone good luck and hopefully receive good news!

Here is what my letter said: "The admission committee will begin interviewing late October/early November. Students will receive written notification of a final admission decision by December 15, 2010." This was a letter regarding sending in final transcripts. So, that is where I got the date from. I just wanted everyone to know that I really did see it in the letter. :) Especially since it seems like not everyone got this letter.

Hi Everyone,

Well I got my early morning mail delivery and I got a congratulations letter saying I have been conditionally admitted dependent on the successful completion of the remaining required 3 nursing courses. I was denied last round so I am so relieved and happy right now.

Let me be the first to congratulate you on here!!!! How exciting! I hope I get good news today too. My mail doesn't come until late afternoon. Fingers crossed!

Thank you so much Evansmom. It's been such a long road to this point I don't even know how to react but

Congratulations Nnarod! I am so happy for you! I hope I get good news as well this time around. Did you think your second time around interview went better than the first time?

The second interview went so much better as I felt that the one interviewer I had was more focused and took me seriously, as opposed to the two women I interviewed with last time.

I think only having one interviewer made me feel more comfortable than the two women I had last time. Plus the interviews were longer last time I thought and with more questions. I felt better this time around, but we will see what hapens!

In addition to the deposit date what cohort were you accepted for? Congrats!! I bet it feels good!

Nnarod Congratulations!!!! I got accepted at my school a few momths ago to start in January and I had a similar path and it still seems surreal. I think it will until I step foot in my first Nursing class on January 10 :) It hard to believe after such a long struggle!
