Oakland University Accelerated BSN fall 2011 Cohort

Hi! I was wondering if anybody out there has interviewed for Oakland University's ABSN program for the FAll of 2011 cohort. I think it will be 3 to 4 weeks before we find out if we will get accepted or not. I wish everyone good luck and hopefully receive good news!

So, maybe anytime now? Based on timing of acceptance letters for the summer interviews, I think acceptance letters should go out soon. Anyone, please let us know if you receive a letter. We are all on pins and needles. ;)

Hi! Its been two full weeks since the last day of interviews. I think last time we found out by the end of the 3rd week. I am still trying to keep my hopes down. I am sick of getting disappointed. I tried my best this time when it came to the interview, so I will try to stay positive! :) I hope you get good news too!

I'm trying to stay positive too! I looked at the last message board that we had during July interviews and people started receiving acceptance letters between 2-3 weeks after the last interview. So, I'm going to not try to be obsessive about my mail this week. Haha. ;)

Hi! Its been 3 weeks since the last week of interviews and nothing in the mail today. I am getting anxious to know, but then a part of me doesn't want to get the bad news. It is really hard not to think about it or get my hopes up.

I hope everyone had a good thanksgiving!

No news still...... I'm starting to become pessimistic.... what if we all got rejected... again?

You took the words right out of my mouth. I'm becoming pessimistic as well. I am not expecting good news....sigh. :( I will be really irritated if they wait until the last minute to let us know we were rejected (like they did for the July interviews). Has anyone received news? Any news? Good or bad? I would like to know if any letters have been sent out at all.

I'm looking into UofM ann arbor and eastern... what are the chances at wayne? i don't know much about madonna but i hear they have a program too.

What is your undergrad in? I applied at UofM and was flat out rejected. I would recommend staying on top of your application. They have a way of losing things there. My transcripts were put in another person's file who supposedly has the same name. I'm not sure if that's true, bu that's what they told me. I know 2 other people who had similar experiences. I was an alternate at EMU earlier this year, but a spot never opened. They have a point system there and you get points for taking pre-reqs with them. Have you taken any classes there? And are you talking Wayne state? They do a point system there too. Thy give preferential treatment to their own students. I didn't apply there because I wouldn't have enough points to actually get in unless I spent a few more thousand dollars on pre-reqs I already completed.
