Oakland University Accelerated BSN fall 2011 Cohort

Hi! I was wondering if anybody out there has interviewed for Oakland University's ABSN program for the FAll of 2011 cohort. I think it will be 3 to 4 weeks before we find out if we will get accepted or not. I wish everyone good luck and hopefully receive good news!

Fall 2011(September 2011) and the $150 deposit is due 12/15/10. The letter was postmarked 11/30/10.

Thanks nnarod! I am hoping to get a letter tomorrow. Eeek! I'm sure you have already sent in your deposit. I know I would write the check that same day! Haha. ;) I really hope we all join you. Have you "met" anyone else who was accepted yet? I know it's early.

Thanks for the information! I hope we all get letters tomorrow! I wish my mail came early vs late afternoon! Are you guys assuming if we dont get letters by monday then its a no?

Prettygirl - yes, I would say if we don't get letter by Monday or so next week that it is probably a no. But that could just be because I am not always an optimistic person. ;) I would definitely assume that if we don't hear by Wednesday, it would be a no. Last time around, they waited to send out the rejections - which sucked - until the last minute. I got mine just one day before the final date. I am starting to obsess about this. I just want it to be tomorrow so I can check my mail again.

I agree with you!!!! I probably won't sleep a wink tonight! Good luck trying to fall asleep!!! I'll be checking this site like crazy tomorrow and I'll post when my mail comes..with the letter or not! But hopefully so :)

Hi everyone,

I interviewed in a different round than some of you and we got rejection letters along with acceptance letters within the same day or 2, but maybe things have changed since last spring. Evansmom could be right that if we don't hear by the end of the week or so it could be a rejection. It is hard to stay positive especially if we don't get anything in the mail today or tomorrow. I am still hoping we all get good news today!

yeah I interviewed last round too and it seemed like people who got accepted heard within 3 days of each other then about a week and a half later I got my rejection letter. On an old thread though someone got a rejection the letter the same day someone got their acceptance letter so I guess its different everytime. Fingers crossed!

Hi Evansmon,

That stinks about the mail! Mine still hasn't came yet. Keep your hopes up still! If the letter was postmarkd tuesday, the 30th, then it may just take a few days to come depending on where you live. I will be the same way though, if I don't get anything today either, I will have a hard time staying positive as well.

Hi Everyone, I have a thought that may help you worry less. I may have got my acceptance letter early because I complained about not getting in last time for several reasons. Maybe I was on their list to let in first. This is just a wild guess as I have not heard of anyone else getting in yet. I'm rooting for you!

Hey nnarod, congratulations!!! It's relieving to know that someone on here got in and that letters are being mailed out.

A few questions: Who exactly did you complain to? (Dean of SON, Adviser, etc.?) and how did you complain? (email, face to face?)

Also as a side note: Are you male or female just out of curiosity....?
