Hi there, anyone getting ready to interview in the next couple months for the Oakland University Accelerated nursing program? Thought this would be a good place in share experiences! Good luck!

Also, does anybody in the program already have any advice for the next couple agonizing months? Thanks in advance!

It's been almost that long for me to, then I remembered the last group of people interviewed on March 12th. So they probably make decisions on everyone that interviewed at the same time. With that in mind, it's only been a week now so we must still wait and wait... and obsess :rolleyes:

Like another poster said, I don't think the last interviews were until March 12th, so I'm guessing a few weeks from that date, they said they would let people know in about a month, but it could be much sooner, who knows! I guess we just have to keep obsessing all the time, lol. My heart starts beating extra fast every time I check my email!

Just checking to see if everyone is still out there. :lol2: No news yet but hopefully soon. I am thinking sooner rather than later. But since they moved up people to May 2010, they are probably figuring out what spots are open for Fall, Winter and Spring - this may take some time. So I am thinking this will result in better odds for January and May - the likely terms most of us will be admitted to. I don't have patience for this but I have no choice:rolleyes:

I'm still lurking around too. Checking email constantly and making sure I didn't miss any calls. I'm not too concerned with the mail because I have a feeling we will find out first via email or call if we get in. The mail package will come later. That's just my thoughts.

I think so too! A friend of mine got her acceptance via e-mail first. She was accepted for the May 2010 cohort, but ended up going to EMU instead this fall.

I too think email since most programs are set up for online decisions now. So I think(hope) Oakland will send decisions via email as well.

I was wondering if they do only accept 50 out of 90 something people, do they really reject the other 40 something or do they let some of the other qualified people start in the next cohort? Unless there really are that many people who are not qualified to be in the program. At least we all meet the requirements to get an interview.

Me too :) I am thinking we will know by Easter. But's it just my best guess. I just wish they would decide soon. Wishing everyone good luck!!
