Hi there, anyone getting ready to interview in the next couple months for the Oakland University Accelerated nursing program? Thought this would be a good place in share experiences! Good luck!

Also, does anybody in the program already have any advice for the next couple agonizing months? Thanks in advance!

Congratulations to everyone who got in :yeah:.Sorry to hear about those that didn't. Keep your head up and keep striving for your goal.

My original paperwork did say January 2011. However, I did turn my final app with essay in later than I should have. When I asked why the change in start date, I was told there were a few people ahead of me for January 2011. However, we do know that folks get bumped up all the time and that people who applied at other schools may not accept the spot at OU. The May start does give me more time to prepare financially, but I did have my mind set on January. Either way I'm super excited.

Does anyone know where clinical's are held for the January cohort?

My acceptance letter stated that for May it will be at Riverview. I would think that the January letter would also state where it will be held.

Mine says Riverview also, but I thought that all classes and labs from now on will be there. Since it's not an actual hospital anymore I thought clincals would be somewhere else?

I was gone for Easter break and just now got my acceptance letter out of the mailbox. Jan. 2011 at Riverview. Congrats to those who got accepted and I feel bad for those who did not....keep on trying!

Just a quick thought for those accepted....if someone can set up a private facebook group or something similar, where we can communicate.... that would be great. I was wondering if others that live in the Rochester area are interested in car-pooling? ....we could discuss these things in private or as a select group. That would be ideal....good luck to all those who still have not been notified.

I think all classes start at Riverview. My paperwork said Riverview as well.

I live near Rochester so Yes, I would be interested in car pooling. If anyone sets up a page, PM me and let me know. It would also be cool if we could meet up somewhere(pub or bar/restaurant)before January(possibly Royal Oak, Rochester, etc). I don't think we can advertise a web site per terms of use on here so let's do PM's. Once we do PM's we can exchange emails, etc. I think it would be nice to get to know some people beforehand and help each other out in the program.

WJ: Good point, the Riverview site is for Labs only. I know Fall is Beaumont and Spring is St. Johns - not sure about Winter. I will try to find out and let everyone know.

Hi everyone, I found out about this site through a friend and first time on here.

Am getting frustrated because I haven't heard anything yet; dont know if thats a good thing or not and I had my interview on 3/12. I don't know if I should call the school or not...

any ideas....

I would call. Everyone I have spoken to has received a letter in the mail by now.
