Hey Everyone!!
Just trying to reach out to anyone else who is in the process of transferring into NYU's nursing program for this fall!
My name is Samantha, I was a bio major but decided that medicine just isn't my calling, and that I'm much better suited for the nursing world.
Hopefully, I'll see you there in August!

Hi Samantha,
I already applied to NYU Nursing (on Feb. 2 to be exact) and am wondering when I am going to hear from them. I don't have a Bachelor's degree and am actually an ultrasound school graduate (I graduated last summer). I volunteer two days a week at a major hospital in the nursing department and am missing only 2 or 3 pre-reqs. I am currently enrolled in BMCC taking a couple of liberal arts courses that can be applied to my credits. To be honest, I am a nervous wreck bc my GPA at BMCC is only a 3.3, while my ultrasound school gpa was a 2.7. I have a great personal statement and recommendations. Hopefully I will hear back soon!! I think it's harder for transfers to get in for some reason. Good luck to you :-) Keep us posted. I will do the same.

Hello All!
I am also waiting to hear back from NYU and I applied in December. I'm getting pretty antsy waiting to find out if I got in or not....I applied with a 3.5 GPA and I will be getting my bachelors in a few months. I've also worked in a pharmacy since 2008, so i'm hoping that my background may help me a little bit? I really have NO idea what to expect though...has anyone heard ANYTHING yet? Hope to hear back!
Best,
Kristin

I applied to the accelerated program at NYU and submitted in mid-February. I have an bachelor's in Anthropology and then did Peace corps in Tanzania, East Africa. I am currently working in Tanzania as well. Good luck to everyone and we should definitely keep in touch, especially for those who get accepted.

I am applying to the accelerated program as well. It seems like a fantasy school.

Hi
I also applied to the accelerated program for Fall 2012. I haven't heard anything from the school as of yet. From their website:
Update for Regular Decision Applicants Admissions decisions for Regular Decision applicants will be released starting at 3pm on Thursday, March 29 exclusively via email. No admission decisions will be released over the phone until Monday, April 2. It may take a couple days for all decisions to be received.
Students who are admitted will also be mailed an official admission decision letter, along with a packet of materials about housing and programs in April for admitted students.
I hope to hear something soon. Good luck everyone!
