I just sent in yesterday my application for the Spring 2011 traditional BSN at NYU and now....let's the waiting game begin!!!
I would like to hear form you all, if you are either a traditional or accelerated student applying for Spring 2011....please join this discussion so that we can wait for an answer together!
I know the wait is going to kill me and I need someone to share my anxiety with!!
I applied to the ABSN program at NYU for Spring 2011 by the October 1 deadline. After reading your posts, I called Admissions today to see if I could get an answer as to whether I was accepted or not. They told me I should hear in the next few weeks. I also emailed someone at the College of Nursing and she said I would be notified anywhere from 1-6 weeks from today. Seems like such a long time to wait! It's been so hard being patient until now.

Congratulations! I applied to the accelerated BSRN program but did not turn
In my application until November 1. When I called to see if they had all of my information
I was told to call back in 7 days. They had received 1000's of applications ... Doesn't look good! I have a 3.85 for pre-reqs. But undergrad was 2.9. Any veterans put there with thoughts on chances of getting in? Does anyone know when nov deadline letters go out? Cheers and good luck to the rest of you who are waiting
My undergraduate gpa is not great either, it's a 3.0 cumulative but I have a 4.0 for pre-reqs. I'm currently taking Chem and Stats. The waiting is killing me!
Have others received a letter from NYU stating that they will notify us via email? I never received this letter and thought they contact us through the mail.
I have a Bachelor's in Public Health and I will be apply to NYU's Accelerated Program. But I am still missing some prereqs, please tell me the sequence of classes you are taking at BMCC.

I, too, have applied for NYU for spring 2011 (Accelerated) and anxiously waiting for decision. In fact, I called this tuesday and was able to speak with an admission counselor, and was told that my decision was actually made on October 27th! That's been more than a week.. She wouldn't tell me the decision over the phone, but told me that I should be receiving a "packet" soon. The word packet is throwing me off quite a bit.. For those you that received decision over the phone, did you directly call the nursing deparment? I think I will call if I don't hear until tommorrow afternoon.. Did they say we'll be receiving decision by email by the end of this week?
