I would like to hear form you all, if you are either a traditional or accelerated student applying for Spring 2011....please join this discussion so that we can wait for an answer together!

I know the wait is going to kill me and I need someone to share my anxiety with!!

Good luck everyone!

So exciting! Congrats to everyone. Check Craig list for housing. Wlliamsburg is cheap and chic these days.

Did any one on here apply for nov 1st deadline?

Hey Ballet1,

I am an applicant that applied by the Nov. 1st deadline. Are you?

enghe,

I turned mine in Nov 1 as well.

Well good luck to the both of us! If I may ask, what school are you trying to transfer from? I'm WAY beyond nervous right now, waiting. And I feel like we won't hear back for a while, considering we submitted the application so late. Hopefully it's soon though!

Hello everyone!

I have a friend/classmate who is also waiting to hear from NYU and she applied by October 1st.

After I told her I found out over the phone she called numerous times but they never told her the answer.

They kept saying that the application was currently under review. Today she called again and they told her that since they have been receiving a large number of phone enquires, from tomorrow they will start telling the results over the phone!!

Now, I don't know if this is only for current NYU students or for everyone....but I think it's worth a try!!

So if you're tired of waiting for the mail pick up the phone tomorrow and call!!

Good luck everyone!!!!

Hi I am not really transferring from anywhere, I have been taking pre-requisites for over a year at BMCC and NYU. I already have a B.S. from the University of Cincinnati. I called NYU admissions today and they said my application had been withdrawn... eeeks panic.... they then were able to locate my common app. but I am freaked out! She assured me that an internal error wouldn't hurt my chances. I am nervous because I am sure many spots have already been taken at this late date. She did say that all decisions would be made by December 15.

So it's only a month of pins and needles to wait upon!

I see. I'm sure the internal error isn't your fault anyway, so it shouldn't have any impact on your admission status. It's getting really rough waiting, but good luck to all of us! And thanks Kika for disclosing that info!

Hi everyone!

I've also been accepted into the program for Spring 2011. Is anyone else nervous about the class size? I keep reading reviews about NYU's program having major flaws. What do you guys think?

Hi ChicagoLiz!

I've also heard the same thing about the class size. I'm a current NYU student working towards my first Bachelor and I have been accepted into the nursing program for Spring 2011. So far I have taken all my classes at NYU. I did my core/humanities credits and the size was great. I think the largest class I had was about 25 people!

I spoke to other student who are currently taking the science courses like Chemistry, A&P etc and they all told me the classes are pretty large (100-120 students) and sometimes learning is very challenging. But I've also heard from many others that yes, you will have to work hard no matter what and class size really doesn't matter because the majority of the professors are great at what they do!

Congratulations to those who have been accepted and good luck to the ones waiting to hear!

Hello everyone!!!

I'm brand new to this thread but I got accepted into the accelerated program for Jan!! I was notified on the 7th of Nov. but the package was postmarked for the 4th. I want to say congratulations to everyone that got in!!! Anyone else coming from the west coast?? This opportunity to move to the east coast is going to be amazing yet daunting at the same time. Hope to meet all of you soon!

Mine was postmarked the 4th too! I wish I had more time to decide!

B-Rizz an ChicagoLiz congratulations! Did you apply for the Early Decision or regular? So far I received two letters stating they received my letter for review and that I would be emailed of a decision by email...

Very scary to open a thin piece of mail from admissions!
