Hi everyone!
I just sent in yesterday my application for the Spring 2011 traditional BSN at NYU and now....let's the waiting game begin!!!
I would like to hear form you all, if you are either a traditional or accelerated student applying for Spring 2011....please join this discussion so that we can wait for an answer together!
I know the wait is going to kill me and I need someone to share my anxiety with!!
Good luck everyone!

Hi Tandrews!I'm glad to hear there is a traditional applicant as well since it seems that everyone else is for the accelerated program!
Are you a high school grad or transferring from another college?
Best of luck and keep us posted!

Greetings kika
I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management and Finance from Brooklyn College. I just need to complete some of the prerequisites for the nursing program in order to move forward. Are you a high school grad or transferring from another college?
Glad to hear from you!:)

Greetings to you as well!
I'm currently an NYU student enrolled in Social Science, so mine was an internal transfer application.
I don't have a bachelor yet so this would be my first that's why I had to apply to the traditional
4 years route!
I'm very excited because NYU is an amazing school, I love the professors, the environment, the location....everything!!!
The only cons is definitely the hefty price tag, but I"m sure it's gonna be worth it at some point.
I live close to campus and it's so convenient to everything. I guess I would be really disappointed if I don't get in
and would have to start looking at other programs.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Hey,
So, I contacted someone by email, the suspense was too much for me to bear any longer. Anyway, she informed me that the first round of letters would be going out this week. So, hang in there, and let me know how it goes. Good Luck.
My stats are: A's and B's in all the pre-reqs, evenly distributed, currently completing Micro B and Gen. Chemistry at a local community college. My undergrad GPA 3.65, worked in healthcare on the administrative side for a number of years.
I sent in my application originally for the fall semester of 2010, but realized that I needed to redo the Chemistry as it was not current enough (the one on my transcript was done more than 10 years ago), so I asked to be considered in the Spring instead.
Again, thanks for the congrats, and Good Luck to all!!
Just came across this thread randomly - but just wanted to say good luck to everyone! I'm finishing up my last semester in the accelerated program and its been quite an experience. I also worked as an orientation leader for the fall 2010 cohort and I can tell you that each cohort seems to progressively be getting bigger -- simply because the college is expanding itself (in terms of size/faculty/etc). So, I think the chances of you getting accepted are pretty good overall (unless you failed a prereq or something along those lines... which I'm sure you guys havent ). Also, I remember at least from my own acceptance, we were notified via mail :-) Not sure if they changed it to email since then. Feel free to PM me if you guys have any questions. Good luck!
Hey Sasagrrl,
Congratulations on (almost) completing the program. I have some questions: I understand that the program is very rigorous, tell me, what was the most difficult aspect of the program for you, how about your peers?
The job market being as highly competitive as it is, has most of your peers secured positions in areas and hospitals of their choice?
What advice would you give to the new cohort entering in Jan. 2011.
Thanks for the information.

Hello All, I am also waiting for a reply from NYU. I do hope that we will be getting replies soon. Has anyone gotten an answer as of yet?
