  1. I ended up accepting an offer for the NICU at another hospital... it was a tough call though! Congratulations and good luck to you guys!
  2. Congrats tpa1249! I also interviewed this week and was offered a spot. Not 100% sure what I'm going to do yet. fandrews, good luck! The questions I got were mostly behavioral.
  3. I have no idea about cohort size or start date, sorry. Hopefully we will learn more soon though! I'll let you know if I do hear anything
  4. Hi there, I have also applied for this internship and was wondering... has anyone heard anything back yet after completing the reference check and Montage View? Thanks :)
  5. Congratulations Ash!!! That's wonderful news!
  6. chinofish, Don't lose hope! My gpa is only around 3.1. I had a medical withdrawal for a semester, followed by a period of poor academic performance. It was only in the last year and a half of my undergrad that I was able to bounce back and start doing well in school again. My prereq grades were pretty good and I've taken a lot of science courses beyond the required pre-reqs thanks to my degree. I think what really helped me was my personal statement and my rec letter from my physiology professor. So yes, it is possible to gain acceptance as a "180" student. Hang in there, I think you will get it!! -Rachel
  7. Hey guys!! Last night I e-mailed admissions to ask if any decision had been made on my application. This morning I got a response that I have been admitted to the program!!! My packet should be going out in the mail today or tomorrow. I am so excited and relieved. Can't wait to meet you guys in January!! And good luck to those still waiting for a response. I know how terrible the wait can be, but it is SO worth it in the end!! -Rach

  9. Hey all, Just called admissions and was told that I should find out shortly.. within the next couple of days. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! I am so excited just to know that I will have an answer soon. I'll let yall know when I find out! -Rachel
  10. What I don't understand is why some who applied by Oct 1st were notified and some still have their applications under review. I thought it was supposed to be rolling admission? I am concerned that maybe they were unsure about whether to admit me, so they wanted to wait until all apps were received to compare the applicant pool. Ugh. All this waiting has me thinking too much and getting paranoid. I can't help it though... NYU nursing has been my dream for 2 years now, and the longer I have to wait, the more I lose confidence. -Rachel
  11. Ash, I spoke to an admissions assistant, so I didn't think she'd know when a decision would be made. I guess I will call back on Monday and see if they've made any progress. -Rachel
  12. Ash, I just called and they told me the same thing. This is starting to really annoy me. I have to move out of my apartment in a month and a half and I don't know where I am moving to yet. -Rachel
  13. kika, Thats funny you mention it, I just called today and was told to call back tomorrow too. I didn't realize they'd be giving decisions over the phone though! I'll definitely call in the morning and see what they say. Thanks for the heads up :) Rachel
  14. Ash, I am still waiting too!! I made the Oct 1st deadline so I am really starting to freak out about why I haven't heard anything yet. Hang in there, you're not alone!! -Rachel
  15. kika, My gpa is around 3.1 but I did pretty well on my prereqs and I have taken tons of other science classes beyond the required ones, as I am a nutrition major. Got a rec letter from my Physiology professor. I am a licensed CNA as well. This is my last semester.. I graduate on December 18th!! I am hoping for the best, but the wait is really difficult. I was told they hope to send out letters "in the next few weeks," which was really discouraging because I was hoping for early November notification since I submitted my application early. I guess the only thing I can do is stay positive, and keep busy with school and work until I hear something. Also, you crack me up thinking they played a trick on you. Don't worry you're already in!! Hopefully I'll be one of your classmates come January!! Rach
