I tried but I was told these positions are extremely competitive because of the great schedule (no nights/weekends/holidays & very little call). Also because there is an additional $13,000 OR compensation on top of the $114,000 base salary not even including call pay. They said they are only accepting very few exceptional new grads and mostly want experienced OR nurses. But let's still hope for the best!

Did anyone get into the NYU Long Island (Mineola) residency program? I'm going to start on the July 30th cohort, I was looking to connect with other new grad nurses!

Congratulations! I'm curious as I'm coming from out of state- what are the ratios in NY for a medsurg nurse? 1-4 patients? Or more?
From what I heard from the interviewers, it varies day by day, but they try to keep it below 5

So I've given up just because I feel like if you're not from NY or a new grad, they don't treat you the same. I've been told to follow up after graduation to even find out what units they have and I did just to be told to follow up again in 4 weeks.

Nice, I was wondering if NYU Tisch is a level 1 trauma center, I think it is but I couldn't find it on the nys website

It is not, most big traumas go to Bellevue

Did anyone have to take a dosage exam? If so, when during the process?
Hi everyone! If anyone is comfortable, would you mind sharing your starting offers for the main campus in Manhattan at Kimmel or Tisch (base salary and any differentials if offered)? I am comparing offers amongst several NYC hospitals and just want to make sure my offer from NYU is fair and reasonable. Thank you.
