  1. So I've given up just because I feel like if you're not from NY or a new grad, they don't treat you the same. I've been told to follow up after graduation to even find out what units they have and I did just to be told to follow up again in 4 weeks.
  2. Honestly, I feel like many hospitals run that way. like if there is no specific residency application then just apply to any regular listing of a unit and then they'll find out you're a new grad and place you into the residency automatically! It doesn't hurt to try! I def think there is an advantage of being in state or being an internal applicant/someone who studied in NYC. LIke I am from NJ and they straight up said to reach out after I am done graduating.. but tbh I am losing patience with it and don't want to lose any other potential offers that I may get. So currently I have also applied to jobs in NJ and also applied to get my NJ nursing license first because I have heard from other nurses that new york can take months to get around to licenses for people
  3. Thanks! I totally get it-- it doesnt really matter WHEN you apply to the residency itself but NY is very slow with the process in general so you may not get answers until a while out
  4. You can submit the general Spring 2023 graduate application before you graduate but you can reach out to a recruiter after you graduate! Thats at least what I was told - I just searched for recruiters on linkedin
  5. I was told for units like these to reach back out after I graduate to see what is available at the time
  6. Thats great!! Im not sure IDK I was just told differently but I guess every case is different
  7. Hey! I found her information on Linkedin- just search NYU recruiter, I dotn feel comfortable posting her name publicly!
  8. So I was told to reach out again after graduation.. I am pretty sure they are only considering people who have already graduated
  9. When are you thinking of reaching out? And are you directly calling her?
  10. Hey! So I havent recieved a phone call but I talked to a recruiter and they said to contact her around three weeks before graduation for a phone call. However, I was thinking of waiting until the week of April 15 since that will be like the one month mark since the application came out! Also my application says "Under Review" now.
  11. That's awesome! I haven't received a phone call yet.. what was the HR call like?
  12. Thats what I am trying to figure out too!
  13. Decided to post a new forum here for all of us applying for the Spring 2023 Nursing Residency Program!
