I was told for units like these to reach back out after I graduate to see what is available at the time

So in that case would we not submit an application until after graduation? Or is there someone specific to reach out to?

You can submit the general Spring 2023 graduate application before you graduate but you can reach out to a recruiter after you graduate! Thats at least what I was told - I just searched for recruiters on linkedin

Thank you for the help. I'll be relocating from another state so I'm trying to understand the process for NY residency programs. Best of luck to you!

Thanks! I totally get it-- it doesnt really matter WHEN you apply to the residency itself but NY is very slow with the process in general so you may not get answers until a while out

I am also relocating to NY and have not heard anything from my applications that I submitted a month and half ago...I think the process is just going to be very slow unfortunately

Are you planning on taking the NCLEX in your home state and then applying for a NY license? That's what I'm going to do but it seems there's a lot of paperwork involved and I'm not sure how long it takes the NY BRN to go through all of that 😞

I am sitting for the NCLEX in my home state but I registered for the NY License already. Once I get the ATT from them I will take it at home. Right now I have taken the online courses for child abuse and infection control and I have paid the $ for the license. Once I officially graduate my school has to fill out the form they have on NYBON website and mail it to NY

Yes that's exactly what I have done so far too!
The paperwork actually wasn't too bad, their website has it all listed out. But I'm just worried it will take a long time to process our ATT since we're out of state

Yes this is what I'm worried about too. And from my understanding for NYU Langone specifically - they are giving rolling job offers correct? So it's possible all the spots in a desired unit could be taken by the time we are eligible to get a job offer. I read we can only apply to one listing - meaning if you applied for fall you cannot apply for Spring. In this case would it be better to wait until we have everything ready to go and then apply for the next cycle?

I am losing hope for NYU. I applied to Lenox Hill as well but I am thinking I won't get a job offer until my license and will just have to reapply everywhere after I get it. NYP doesn't seem to have their residency app out right now so that could be an option after we get our license as well.
