Thats good to hear they seem to still be hiring! You mind if I message you? I want to just see if we happened to reach out to the same person because I've only found two that like like hire nurses for the Manhattan location

Yes of course! Feel free to message me whenever.

Thanks for the response! It can definitely be stressful to not know when we will be getting the ATT but at least we are on the same boat. I'm sure hospitals that are hiring new grads will also be flexible with start dates. I'll keep you posted if I hear any new information!

Hey, finally received my ATT! I submitted my stuff April 14th, so I guess it didn't matter that my application wasn't complete till the end of May (like I said, was waiting for Form 2 from my school). Good luck! I hope you get yours soon.

Good luck! Are you taking it in NYC? Still waiting on mine to be approved, may I ask when you’re able to schedule the NCLEX once you get the ATT? are the NCLEX dates far out or can you take it pretty much immediately?

I'm taking mine in CA, but I checked the NYC locations and there are about 2-6 days open per month at the 3 Manhattan locations I looked at. You might not get the exact day you want but you'll be able to take it pretty soon after you get your ATT. And I think people reschedule all the time so you just have to randomly look and something that works for you will probably become available.

Applied at the end of June 2022, and got an offer 12 days later. Here if anyone has any questions!

Sure! It felt pretty conversational. Was just asked to elaborate on school experience, what led to picking nursing career, previous volunteer/work experience besides clinicals, to describe relevant clinical experience and what I enjoyed about it, etc. It seemed like the follow up questions being asked came naturally based off answers I gave. The only “common” interview q I remember being asked was to name a time I dealt with an upset patient/family member during clinicals. Overall, the interview was pretty relaxed. Took about 35 mins.

Hello!

I will graduate with my BSN in CA in August 2022 and plan to take my NCLEX hopefully by the end of September in CA (and then apply for NY state licensure). Does anyone know if NYU Langone offers Fall/Winter new grad RN positions for those of us that missed the Spring application pool? Thanks in advance!

Yes, they have a new grad application for the fall semester as well. You might still be able to apply to the Spring application with that timeline tho, they keep them up for a long time.

Amazing! Thank you for the excellent news.

Does anyone know the details of orientation for a new graduate hired onto a medsurg unit at NYU? Do we get classroom time before going onto the unit or are we put straight onto the unit?
