I’m not sure how much it varies! I was offered base 97K, 99K with differential.

That is amazing, congratulations! Do you mind sharing how the interview process was? How long did it take from the time you did your first interview to getting accepted? Wishing you the best of luck!

Also wondering if anyone else that applied in March has heard back. I applied in mid-March and have not heard anything/my application status remains the same on the portal.

Thank you!! I heard back from my recruiter rather quickly. I interviewed on a Friday and they called me the next Monday saying the nurse manager wanted to move forward with me.

The interview was great overall! The typical  interview questions (tell me about yourself, a time you made a mistake, why do you want to be a nurse, how you have dealt with difficult situations, where you see yourself in five years, etc. ) They as well gave me an overview of what the unit is like and what to expect the first few weeks of orientation.

Also a couple questions about a medical diagnosis (ex:heart failure) and what labs I would look for/medications I would anticipate to give.

The only people I know who are currently in the interview process are student nurse externs or internal applicants. I started interviewing in April and my first interview was with a recruiter, she asked general interview questions like why this specialty, tell me about a difficult patient, a time you took initiative. I've interviewed with 2 nurse managers (the first one didn't want to move forward with me LOL.) Depending on the nurse manager, they might ask you behavioral questions and clinical questions. Now I'm waiting to hear back after the interview with the second nurse manager. Your best bet is to find a recruiter on LinkedIn and email them, and let them know which specialty you're interested in.

Does anyone know if the 3.5 GPA requirement applies to non-nursing education too? I have about a 4.0 in my MSN (entry level nursing) program but my undergrad GPA from a long time ago is very low. I had to fill out a separate form from the application to prepare for my interview and undergrad GPA was a question. I couldn't even skip it.

Hello, I am wondering if anyone here is out of state and is still waiting to get their ATT to test for the NCLEX. I applied early May and have no heard back yet!

Same here. If you check the NY BON website, http://www.op.nysed.gov/prof/nurse/, it says they're just processing out of state applications from 4/5/22. I heard they update the date every Thursday, so it should change today. I can't believe how slow they are though. Time doesn't start until they receive all your application materials either. My school didn't send Form 2 till the end of May so looks like I have some waiting to do even though my start date is in early August.

Thanks for the response! It can definitely be stressful to not know when we will be getting the ATT but at least we are on the same boat. I'm sure hospitals that are hiring new grads will also be flexible with start dates. I'll keep you posted if I hear any new information!

Hi everyone,

I was wondering for people who applied in May and later, have you heard back from anyone? I applied the first week of May, and have yet to hear back. I reached out to a recruiter on LinkedIn, and was basically told that a nurse manager would reach out if interested, which obviously didn't seems too promising. I'm just wondering If they are still hiring.

Hey, from what I know they are still hiring! I actually applied back in March and then followed up with a recruiter around May. I found her email on LinkedIn and contacted her directly. I would try emailing instead of messaging through LinkedIn and hopefully they respond. Good luck!

Thats good to hear they seem to still be hiring! You mind if I message you? I want to just see if we happened to reach out to the same person because I've only found two that like like hire nurses for the Manhattan location
