  1. dang, I’ve never heard it taking that long for anyone I know. maybe they just say that so people stop calling to ask LOL. it took less than 3 weeks for me.
  2. Thanks! I applied after I took it. I actually waited until my license # was verified on the nysed site before I applied to any jobs at all. You can def start earlier, I just found that the first questions they asked were whether you took the NCLEX and had your license yet. Seems like it gives you a leg up over other applicants bc it makes the process that much quicker (as it is, it takes at least a month to get through the onboarding process), but that’s just my hunch.
  3. Sure! It felt pretty conversational. Was just asked to elaborate on school experience, what led to picking nursing career, previous volunteer/work experience besides clinicals, to describe relevant clinical experience and what I enjoyed about it, etc. It seemed like the follow up questions being asked came naturally based off answers I gave. The only “common” interview q I remember being asked was to name a time I dealt with an upset patient/family member during clinicals. Overall, the interview was pretty relaxed. Took about 35 mins.
  4. Applied at the end of June 2022, and got an offer 12 days later. Here if anyone has any questions!
  5. Applied for 2022 NYU New Grad Residency (Manhattan) on a Thursday, was contacted by one of their talent acquisition specialists the following day, was interviewed the following Friday, and offered a job four days later. The entire process from application submission to job offer was 12 days. No recruiter or internal connection used, just applied on NYU career site.
