NYU ASBN Fall 2020

Published

Hi! I figured I start a thread (I know it's super early, but I can't be the only one that plans ahead!) for Fall 2020 admissions!

I started my application and hope to find someone else out there going through this process. I have a question though after reading other NYU ASBN threads:

Are we allowed to submit an application if we have some prerequisites courses in progress? I plan to take the remainder of my prereqs (nutrition, statistics, chem, and dev psych) during spring 2020 semester.

I'm super nervous! I have by BS in Early Childhood Education - totally different spectrums. Goodluck to everyone! Hope to hear back from someone soon ?

How long were your recommendation letters and you send them via mail or through the common app?

Also, for transcripts. I want to have my application in by the March 1st priority deadline. My final pre-req grades will be in by February 27th. My official transcript will therefore not make it in before March 1st, but I can have everything else sent in/completed. Does this mean I won't technically be making the March 1st deadline? Should I send in my transcript for now then send another one after these new grades are in?

I didn’t get to see my letters but they were submitted through the common app!

@samg1 - Thank you! And for your transcripts, were those sent in envelopes directly from your other school? My school's registrar had an electronic option to send official transcripts directly to NYU and I just want to make sure that that's accepted.

Also one more question - where exactly do we put our essay on the common application? Is it the same place we upload our CV/Resume?

I had them sent to the school, my school didn’t offer the service that commonapp accepts electronically so I just had them sent in the mail I believe. And there is somewhere to attach the essay in the common app I believe, I sent mine in in October so I’m not 100% sure

@marquisdelafayette you'll be fine as long as you complete your pre-reqs before the program starts and send them the transcript proving that you completed the requirement. i have one more pre-req to go (gen. chem) and i'll be taking it this summer so hopefully i'm fine when i submit my app

Anyone know the total tuition cost ?

you have to send it to the common app center. I don't think nyu will accept transcripts

thank you! my schools dont have the electronic options, well the school isn't coming up which they are big schools but whatever. did you use mailed paper trancript? I wonder how big of a difference march 1 deadline makes.

According to the NYU website:

You must submit an official college transcript(s) in a sealed envelope from each college or university that you attended before the application deadline. Applications with missing transcripts will not be reviewed.
Transcripts can be sent to the following address (not NYU Meyers):

New York University
Office of Undergraduate Admissions
383 Lafayette Street
New York, NY 10003, USA.

Transcripts may also be emailed to [email protected] but should still bear an official stamp, must come from a school official, and must be sent from an official school email address.

I know one of my schools is mailing them on paper this way to this address and the other two didn't go through the common app but were sent electronically via credential solutions (that was the only option I was given so I hope that's okay??)

yeah I did all paper for my transcripts.

I was supposed to do priority deadline but my recommenders are taking a while to do my letter so I guess I'll have to do regular deadline.

I'm not sure but I did mine directly to common app and they received it within a week
