Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?
Here's my stats:
Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Physio: A-
Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Chem for health sciences: C+
Nutrition: A
Stats: C
Lifespan dev: B
Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.

I paid my deposit for Downstate and haven’t withdrawn yet because I was still holding on for NYU (deposit is small so wasn’t afraid on losing it) but since classes are starting soon, I might as well withdraw it. Thanks! Honestly I’m just happy to have gotten somewhere and I live 10 mins away from Downstate so that’s also a plus!
Anyone else stuck between picking NYU and another school? I got into Adelphi and NYU accelerated nursing program. The Adelphi program starts in 2 weeks and is going to cost me half of NYU's tuition ?. But then again NYU is NYU.. ughh I have two days left to send my NYU deposit. I don't know what to do. Anyone know job prospects for both schools?
I got into Drexel which doesn’t start until Spring 2021. It’s cheaper than NYU and is only 11 months so I’ll be done around the same time. I still haven’t heard back from NYU, but I’m leaning toward Drexel regardless.
